if it's any consolation people are outraged here as well. san francisco is sectioned off into districts like other towns. most of the districts aren't even gay.

as on the ah bbs though, the minority of irritants always screams the loudest. its the same in politics. the politicians know that if they dont cater to the homos they will be branded as a bigot next election. and they will go on a massive smear campaign to keep them from getting into office. there were heros in this vote though - like leland yee who will be gone next election due to his no vote - and a few others as well. they were extremely brave, their kind is rare.

it is like a nationwide trend where the media has deemed some people 'beyond criticism' due to ethnicity or religion or in this case sex preference/mental illness however you want to look at trangender freaks.

it will get to the point where you can only criticize white, protestant males over the age of 21 - or face a massive backlash and all kinds of branding. sad times indeed.

It's really an issue more about Socialism and Socialized medicine rather than sexual-orientation.  

However, it's a common tactic by the Leftists/Liberal Democrats to use race-baiting/women's/gay/human "rights" to force their Socialist agenda down the throats of the population.  Try to stand-up against these foaming-at-the-mouth Socialists and you will be instantly branded a "homo-phobe", a "racist", a "sexist", a "Fascist". or whatever other label these freaks can throw at you.  And we know most  of our gutless politicians are too afraid to stand-up against this relentless assualt.

The Clinton Administration used this tactic to great effect.  Gore failed by a gnat's hair of winning the last election which, if Gore had won, i seriously doubt the USA could have withstood 4 more years of this demogoguery.

Okay.. granted... you have an issue with the people that choose a gay lifestyle. What about the abnormal ones that somehow didn't get all their wires connected correctly during the switch from female to male in the womb?

Personally, I try to tolerate gays. I have to believe that some of them did not make the choice to be so. As a male, I can only assume that given the choice between a woman and some guy's hairy bellybutton and you choose the hairy ass, there's something abnormal about you. Not necessarily unnatural, but certainly abnormal.

I think it would be rather difficult for someone that chooses this lifestyle to get past all the medical/psychological wickets necessary to have this procedure. Hell, talk to a woman. In some states, it's virtually impossible for a childless woman to be voluntarily sterilized. I have to believe that a sex change is even more difficult.

The article even states, "It will not cover cosmetic procedures and can only be used after a doctor deems treatment medically necessary."

This policy isn't about catering to homos. It's about addressing the medical concerns of people born with characteristics of both sexes.

I've worked with people going through sex-change operations before.  I can't say I've ever considered financing the operation for them.  Its nice not to have any say in it.

I also know that due to an illness while a teanager, my wife is not able to conceive simply due to tube scarring.  Artificial incimination is not covered by insurance and is only 40% successful... at $15k a try.

I'm sorry, but I am rather unsympathetic to those that are not allowed to rely on society to finance changes required to meet their social needs.
