Bad grammar Mr. T my bad.
I was being sarcastic, since I cannot believe that people still consider homosexuality to be a disease or some form of mental illness.

and I took Psych allready and the idea of it being considered mental illness is very outdated.

Depends who you talk to.

How many gay animals do you see running around?

The basis for understanding homosexuality is rooted in how the child was brought up or on biological reasons. Neither way is understood and neither way can be proven on how the person developed homosexual feelings.

Although maybe homosexuality is a reaction, on some deeper third eye level, to our species over-populating our planet.

Either way, you can't expect everyone or anyone to accept it.

Aye soulyss, it isn't a purely human phenomenom and in some species it serves them well, enhancing the survival of relatives (and thereby part of the homosexual animal's gene code).

What worries me is people call homosexuality a sickness, yet perform the very same acts themselves, but on a different gender.

The dick ain't got eyes. An anus or a mouth is the same to it, be it on a woman or a male. Sickening as it may be, that's also the truth.

Personally, I hold it to be a bit disgusting. Then again, I also find people pissing and toejamting at each other a bit disgusting. Or people dressing up in diapers a bit weird. but I ain't condemning people for their sexual preferences or fetishes. It just ain't mine, and that's the end of that. Pun not intended

Soulyss I was reading the transcripts from the show Hannity & Colmes from Fox did the other day when they had one of the Gay activist from SF and he said himself that it WAS a mental illness.

Karnak, from what I've been told (and these are world known surgeons I get to rub elbow's with once a year at a event called "Christmas party") that your statement is true, but indeed a VERY rare case.  The rest of these folks have become gay due to learned behavior.

Edit: Now, don't get me wrong, I could care less what someone does within closed doors, I just don't want to pay for what they perceive as 'natural selection'...nor do I want them telling my children in school that it is normal behavior...because it is NOT normal behavior.

Neither is flying virtual planes planes, blasting virtual germans outta the sky Rip  .

It's there, it's not uncommon, it's not dangerous.

Pedophiles are more likely to be heterosexual than homosexual in their adult relationships, so in this regards you should fear heterosexuals more.

What's the danger here? that a gay says that his or her sexual preference isn'ts shameful, a big sin that'll send you to hell or unforgivable?

Aye, I pray daily that we don't inject a little tolerance into our kids; let the mind meme continue  .

The dangers being, of course, that your kid risks being frozen out from the rest of society because of his sexual inclination, should he turn out to be non straight. Why frozen out? Well, ya gave the answer yerself.

It also does not adress the perversity found in heterosexual homes - some people are sickos, I can tell you that. But, naturally, it is easier to make an incredibly broad generalization and just label something one disagrees with as evil. And it's even better if you can find an old collection of books to support it, by an appeal to authority fallacy.

Honestly, I don't give a rats arse about what two consenting adults do sexually. It doesn't say anything about their moral character when outta the bed, nor does it suggest criminal behaviour. If they get pleasure from it, that's their business. This whole idea that it somehow turns them into vicious sociopaths is laughable at best.

I don't think it does change them into evil beings, Santa, one of the most brilliant and best bosses I worked for was gay when I was a bar manager(We used to have a joke about me never stocking beer when he was around, it required me bending over while he was nearby)...my biggest squeak is this:  I don't think taxpayers dollars should fund sex changes, and I don't want people teaching my kids its "Okay".  Sure, teach them to tolerate 'people who are different'...but you have a date with me and my anger if you instill upon them that its okay for Bobby to be boning Tommy in the back seat of a car.

Hmm, I read the article and am a little confused about something...  Is this law actually allocating money for people to have sex change operations?  Or is it offering coverage for medical conditions associated with the person's new gender (like breast cancer) that they do not currently receive but that people born of that gender do?

it makes sex change a covered proceedure. all other illnesses are covered regardless of sex -

It does seem a little ironic to me, that many of you bang on (excuse the pun) about how your business is your own, yet are outraged by the activities of a minority thousands of miles away!

Nice one, BTW, Cabby, for crow-barring in your one and only talking point. Yeah, socialists invented homosexuality - well done.

If you were a Californian tax payer, sure take issue with it (if that is your want), but if not, you perhaps ought to practise what you preach.

As to the question of what is 'natural' or not - how can you judge what is natural or not? Evolution is a process fundamentally based on the perversion of genes, at any moment of time.

If these people want this surgery, then they should pay for it. And afterwards, I couldn't care less what they did, as long as they didn't hurt anyone. Which is quite likely anyway, because who has ever heard of 'hetero'-bashers?

I believe there is more to a person other than where they like to put their noodle. Frankly, I couldn't care less - I'm secure enough about my own sexuality, to be able to look past that.

BTW, I am a lesbian trapped inside a man's body.

>to go from male to female costs $40,000.00
>but from female to male costs $70,000.00
>and the city of San Fran only pays
>$50,000.00

Wanna know what I think of all this?  Well, I’m gonna tell ya anyway.

My immediate reaction is hmmmmm……maybe theres a market in all this.

Lets see.  One side of the equation as a “commodity” they wish to get rid of.  The other side wants to have that “commodity” sewn on.   Niche market?  Boner brokering?   Store them in liquid nitro until you find the proper home for them.  Photograph them, put them on a web site (eBay..er…eBone.com)for prospective clients to bid on.  Gotta find that proper size and skin tone match.  Specify your preference for a curve to the left or curve to the right option?  Cut the “donor” in for a slice of the profit to offset their costs.  Sorta like a trade-in at a car lot.   Net goes in your pocket er purse …whatever.

I see franchise opportunity here.  Demand and supply, supply and demand.

Ahhh, whats the big deal?

Sounds to me like a certain segment of the voters in San Fransisco got together and had this issue put to a vote, as is there right, and the majority of the voters there voted it in. Isn't that what America is all about?
