Anthony Zinni would get my vote even though he's not LP. But of course he'll never run for a political office.

So what are the big Republican issues on the pre-midterm elections agenda? What issues will they come up with to stir up the disillusioned far right enough to actually get out to the polls and vote Republican?

a)Homosexual adoption

b)Flag burning

c)English only national anthem

d)Immigration

Instead they should be tackling issues like:

a)Alternative energy sources

b)Retooling FEMA

c)Invasion of privacy by the NSA

You know, things that really matter.

Yes and the democrats don't use fear at all.  We should not be afraid of global warming, or the NSA, or secret prisons in Europe, or prisoner's rights to our courts in CUBA.  Nope no fear at all here.

Me thinks you assume too much sir:

1.  I'm no Bush fan, I just hate democrats
2.  The SC doesn't write or create laws and it's only recent that two conservative judges were appointed (and by show of hands can anyone tell me if that was easy to get them appointed as well would they have ever BEEN appointed without the gang of 14 deal?)
3.  Republicans have a narrow margin in house and even smaller majority in the senate.....that usually means the comittees are split as well
4.  The same can work both ways, it only takes pair of republicans to cross the isle on a vote.

No. 2 alone proves my point.  There are judges that are STILL waiting on approval from the judiciary committee.  Having a majority doesn't mean much if your bills get bogged down in procedural matters.

at least klinton knew how to play to the polls.   Say anything... get those numbers up.

We have never been so prosperous in recent memory.   I don't care what his numbers are... I like the guy and know he will not be swayed by who likes him this week.

Nope. Klinton. And, it's Kalifornia. It's a quiet, subtle statement indicating disgust for socialist leaning views or practices by the person that types it that way.

A policy that I agree with whole heartedly.

ding!! ding!! ding!!

as Skuzzy stated, the problem is the average joe can't handle the truth and wants it all sugar coated, wrapped in a 30 minute sitcom timetable - from the Iraq war to making a million dollars - a bunch of "Deal or No Deal" fools

take the Iraq war, take the insurgency out of the mix, leave in zero wmds found, say we were out a year and a-half ago with Iraq running its own show - Bush would be a worldwide hero. Our enemies know us better than we know ourselves..
