I wouldn't advise getting that particular model nor any of the military surplus stuff running around.  The accuracy, as a rule, leaves something to be desired.

I certainly wouldn't need a scope to kill a burgler or home invader.

Its not a bad looking gun,Looks mean too, but only a 5 round clip.Do they sell a clip a little bigger than that for it? I know a .50 cal is big, but only 5 rounds, that sux.

Drill does the barrel get real Hot after 40 rounds or so. What I mean is, you probably could bang off 40 rounds and then have to sit it down for an hour to cool, right?

Not bad but I know someone who has a M2 50 BMG and a few other fun toys that rock and roll. Unfortunately the ammo for the BMG costs about $1.30 a pop even on "sale"

Unless you've fired something more accurate

a .50 should be able to beat my STW for accuracy over 1k.  Some of these can't.  I've seen .50's that put them to shame... but they are all custom built (though similar in price).

And Hogfarmer... a word of advice when editing posts: DELETE THE PREVIOUS "EDITED BY" MESSAGE WITH EACH ADDITIONAL EDIT

And Creamo... an edit required while making fun of someonen's edit requireds?  Dork

.50 BMG bolt-action?

Check this one out:
 http://www.50-bmg.com/

Accuracy guaranteed minimum 1/2MOA@1000 yards with match ammo. Documented 5 round groups of 1/2MOA at 1004 yards(5") and 1700 yards(8").

One minor detail:  Price USA $7250.00

Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

Hehe FUnked, good plug:

Quote
Snip..."these left-wing politicians and
media are now attempting to create a "Powerful Weapons" category.
Following their familiar pattern, these legislators and media first categorize a
type of gun as being particularly dangerous and unnecessary for civilians to
possess. They proceed to demonize this "category" so that restrictive
legislation can be passed against it. When they succeed, they never look back
at the damage they have done to an industry or innocent lives, they just move
on looking for another category to restrict. Besides .50 caliber it is possible
that other calibers may be affected by the proposed legislation."
