Not only do you leave the truck running while gassing, (which is a safety and environmental hazard by emitting tons of CO2 while ilding aimlessly and risking an explosion wiping out half a city block and causing even more environmental degradation) trucks aren't s'posed to be playing Rush, they need to be playing Hank.

^^^  You knew the Hank dropping had to start sometime.

Maybe if he had played Hank the old guy woulda bought him a beer instead.

The fact that we actually had a conversation without shouting, and that i could hear him talk to whomever else he was with, proves the music was low enough to be tolerated. Just FYI. But that wasn't why i posted in the first place. I posted to say I hope I can keep a cool and open mind in the future when it comes to younger people and thier lifestyles.

But I never once put myself in the right. Again, never asked for bias - I even called myself a smart alec about it - Rude? Perhaps - But none of you were there. I basically gave him the same attitude.

Moral: You can be a bitter old man and get away with being a tool til you die, but as an isolated incident, it's enough to brand me as the bad guy.

The best reply I've ever heard was from across my caud sac... a retired Korean War Vet to his young punk neighbour blaring his music loud early in the morning from his lil pickup truck..

"Son can you please turn the music down, my wife is sick and needs her rest."

"Hey it's my music, my truck and it isn't too loud."

"Do I need to shove the truck up yer arse to get you to turn the music down?"

Music went down fast....

:aok

whiney suburbians.

A heart that's full up like a landfill,
a job that slowly kills you,
bruises that won't heal.
You look so tired-unhappy,
bring down the government,
they don't, they don't speak for us.
I'll take a quiet life,
a handshake of carbon monoxide,

with no alarms and no surprises,
no alarms and no surprises,
no alarms and no surprises,
Silent silent.

This is my final fit,
my final bellyache,

with no alarms and no surprises,
no alarms and no surprises,
no alarms and no surprises please.

Such a pretty house
and such a pretty garden.

No alarms and no surprises (get me outta here),
no alarms and no surprises (get me outta here),
no alarms and no surprises, please.

what I like is that having just met someone and.. only by getting into his face...

sheep boy is able to brand him a bitter old man for life.

I think it would be just as fair and more logical to brand sheep boy as a self centered, fad following, rude little twit with bad taste in music... lot's more evidence.

Yeah, from now on, whenever i'm at a gas station and someone pulls in with a loud radio, i'm going to get in their face and tell them how rude they are and turn down the radio. See where that gets me

Name another band that hasn't had a lineup change for over 30 years.   It "they suck" as bad as some say, then why on earth have they sold 23 Gold albums, 4 Platinum (I believe 3 multi-plat's) records.   IIRC, they are only behind the Beatles, Stones, Aerosmith and KISS for the most consecutive Gold or Platinum albums by a band in history.

Yeah, they suck, get over yourselves.
