X52 or X52PRO????
« on: June 16, 2007, 08:03:00 PM »
I suspect my logitec is taking a dump. I was wondering if the cost of the X52pro over the plain X52 is worth it. I can't seem to hit Poop any more and my K/D went from 1.6 to .7. Anyone want to recomend a particular setup other than the Saitek?

I'ave a X52 that I bought refirbished from Saitek @ saitek.com.  I have not had any problems with this unit.  I believe for the buck that it is a good investment.:aok :noid

Definately pro. Many of the non pro sticks are defective. you won't know what you're getting so why take the chance of having to hassle with what's probably a busted product. Go with the pro, on the pro they've fixed most of the manufacturing mistakes they made with the standard stick.

I have the X52 Pro and I'm real happy with it.  I'm a long time CH user and when it came time to upgrade I went with the X52 and find the quality is on par with CH at about half the price. The only problem, and it's not much of a problem, I can't figure out what the 'clutch' button is for.

Wow, that is a good place to get them.

Quck question about the CH sticks:
What's the difference between the Fighterstick and Combatstick besides price and the number of hat switches? Any difference in the size of the stick or the components used?

I like my combat stick because I wanted only one button for my cannon thumb button . If that don't matter to you get the FStick IMO .

I have an X52 and so far no issues.  I bought it for $120 with a two year replacement warrenty.  I hope i never need it but IF i do i'll be glad to have it.  From what i understand the only major difference in the 52pro is the metal construction, should be more durable but i havent noticed any issues with the plastic.

Its my understanding that the X52 Pro has Hall sensors. Uses magnetic sensors basicly to see movement on a rotary or linear shaft with no actual contact.

Hence, no pots to spike, not likely to wear out this decade.
