Human beings collectively elevated themselves above the rest of the  animal kingdom.

Man and Woman... together.

Both are humans... one being not much without the other.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions... but opinions are just that.

This is not a "You Tarzan; Me Jane" existence anymore.

We women are not going to loose the right to vote in this country... in spite of what any one person thinks. So opinions can flow back and forth with no net effect on the historical passage of the 19th Amendment.

Men and women are different... there are reasons for that.

I have known plenty of well educated and outspoken male bashing femininists... who are just as outspoken and compelling in their pronouncements as the arguments Laz makes.

With all due respect, I don't buy much of any of it... from either side.

The idea is to peacefully and harmoniously co-exist; not wage the battle of the sexes.

Far as I am concerned, there is not much more to be said on this thread that is not a repeat of what has already been said... on the issue of Women's Suffrage.

Men accusing other men of being "womanly" is smack talk that has been around since language developed.

Women accusing other women of being "mannish" is smack talk that has been around since language developed.

It is all smack talk... an attempt at manipulation and intimidation.

Well, She's a lawyer, I', a farmer. I beat her in chess, she beats me in scrabble. She does the tax reports, I do the plumming. We do the carpentry, planning, designing, kids raising, car fixings and all sorts of things together.
We are a team. I am bigger and stronger. She is more nimble and accurate. Not sure who is smarter, but she has much more potential in educating herself, while I am the one who rather lag, and then get a flashingly good idea.

moot..  I may have to disagree with you and tigress on the whole "civilized" and "educated" thing...  surely, the ones who lack education and/or were brought up  on meaner streets are closer to feral but... we all are.   And... I don't believe that  man is the only animal on the planet that lacks hardwired instincts.

Women are the same.. they are hardwired with a layer of civilization and now..  some feminism and indocrtinization from education... in the end tho... they are nest builders wanting security for their offspring and a strong mate with good genetics..  they aren't even hardwired to be manogamous.. they are hardwired to seek out new genetic material every 4 or 5 years or so... and they don't even know why...

No... men and women are different.. it has nothing to do with the way we are raised... it is the opposite in fact.... we are raised differently because we are different.   You can't force a woman or raise a woman to be a man... she will revert to nature.. to... her hardwiring.   Same for men.

watch a riot some time and don't say that you could never go that feral... you are only an incident.. only a shortage away from it.   If you can't go feral you will die.   To say that you are different than the thousands of us in riots is an odd form of denial..  of course we would all do that if we were starving or our family were.

Steve had no hard evidence whatsoever to suggest that Serenity was lying in his recent post but everyone accepted the guy was full of it.

I don't have any to suggest he discussed his feelings about women in the workplace with his wife but it just smells bad....as bad as Serenity's story.

Oh... and I have never liked working with women... I avoid it if I can.   the more you work around them the more you realize that they have nothing in common with you... don't believe the same basic things.. they may or may not be "good" workers but being around em is unpleasant and confusing.

I am not speaking of office work here because I have rarely been in those situations... even today... my workplace is isolated and all men.   I have worked with a woman pipefitter and painter and operator and... it all started out ok but their nature came through... just as mine does and... a lot of hard feelings on both sides...  I have seen every single one of em crying for instance... I don't want to work with people who will be crying.  work itself is bad enough.

A pipe fitter crying... she was 200 lbs and tough but... reverted.. she was also a pain and difficult for me to deal with... I would grab the heavy items and that would offend her... I was stronger and pointed that out.  she thought her education and training trumped her being tho and ended up hurting her back because she wanted to be "equal"   a stupid and worthless and dangerous bit of indoctrinization so far as I am concerned.

Worse... now... like many minorities... you are opening yourself up for a whole new world of 1984 like socialism if you hire or work with em...anything you say or do can be and....likely will at some point... be used against you... why even have em around?  not worth the risk.

media will have women beating up men... reality has women not compete in these things with men.   many here are unable to see that even tho it is right in front of you... why do you not see women in football with the men or in the boxing or anything goes fighting matches... you switch from one channel where some 98 lb girl is whupping the crap out of 6 guys and then switch to a show where real people are fighting or playing a sport and there is no 98 lb woman... yet you don't connect.

Laz, I have respect for you; and we agree on many things... but not all.
And on some crucial points... not at all.

We women nurture you and protect you and love you... when you are helpless to do so on your own. Without us, you wouldn't have made it.

I believe males and females indeed have brain hard-wiring to be that which we individually are... males and females. There is no escaping it.
Males do not have an exclusive claim to capacity of intellect... any that so claim prove their own stupidity by so doing.

You can rant and preach till you are blue-faced about women's inferority to men. It changes nothing. We are simply different and men and women are meant to be a team... not masters and slaves.

I respect and admire men... I am not a slave to them.

This is perfectly natural.. it is you being a woman.... it shows an instinct for security (thinking spending money on police makes you safe) and the instinct for looking toward a man for what a man does best... protect you from other men.

You are educated and a feminist and an equal in the work place but.. scratch the veneer and.. you have the above.. you are a woman.   shouldn't the man just let you fend for yourself if you are equal?

I believe that I treat women better... more "equal" than most of the metrosexuals who claim equality.   I just realize that women are different and that "equal" does not mean the same.

I have people working for me as well as working & living. I have actually given up on the guys for now, so I only hire girls.
I have had Americans as well, - a girl and a Guy. There was no contest, - the girl proved very much better.....

When I am broken or sick.. a womans touch and a womans way is what I want and need.. I think a woman heals us.   I love women.. I love them to much to watch them turn into the shrill, shrew harpies that the feminists lesbians man haters would have us believe they should be.

Take hillary for instance.   I don't want her around when I am sick or broken because I don't think that comfort and nurture are even left in her anymore.

She and I share a love of flowers, a love of flying, and the willingness to fight enemy invaders and if necessary to lay down life in the course of defending the homeland.

TxMom made a comment about a Father's role in raising his daughter but it was swept away in the heat of argument early in this thread. For a girl, her relationship with her Dad is critical if she is to have healthy relationships with men in her life; all things being equal. My Mom could not teach what my Father taught.

In the end, it is all about love... and respect... and loyalty.
