Dallas gave it away because they couldn't cover the NE receivers.

The Patriots have become the Rams, their defense could not stop the Cowboys. Their defense better start making plays or Indy is gonna make them look silly. Romo is good, but he's no Manning.

To say the Pats are not one of the top, if not the top team in the NFL, is like saying Peyton Manning sucks, and to do that, you don't know jack about football and prolly have never played.

The Patriots win next week and its not even going to be close...The Patriots defense is playing awesome thus far, and i'll gurantee at least 2 INT's by Romo...T.O. will be T.O. and do a whole lot of nothing...Sure, he may make 1 big play on a 45 yard catch, but the remainder of his time in will be a lot of the same old; dropping balls or catching them out of bounds...

I gotta give a lot of respect to Marion Barber though...Fun player to watch...As well as Jason Witten....

For next weeks game being two 5-0 teams, I just dont think its going to be as good of a game as some people think it will be.  Very lopsided IMO and the Pats just outclass the Cowboys in every area.

You nailed that one, do you have the lottery numbers for next week :aok

That's retarded (no offense to any you retards out there).

Currently, the Pats have the 2nd best defense in the NFL based on yards, and 6th best based on scoring.

wouldn't one typically follow the other? unless the Pat's have the worst special teams ever?

It's not retarted(no offense to you retards out there).

First of all, those statistics are very misleading. If your offense is controlling the ball twice as long as the other team, then your defense can be average, just not be on the field very long.

If you take the time of possession against the defense and double that into the defensive statistics, then the defense is not near the top.

The cowboys moved the ball very well when they had it.

It's easy to be good on defense when your offense is ripping off nine minute drives. One of these days the offense will not put up 20 points and the defense is going to have to step up.

They are giving up four yards a carry, ranked 17th and have given up nine passing TD's, tied for 21st. They are also last in red zone defense

The Patriots Defense let up 2 touchdowns and two field goals to a team who on average nearly doubled that in the 5 previous games......I'd say the Pats Defense is looking pretty damn good this year.

Hey, How about the play of this kid this week?

Adrian Peterson

Imagine what he could do if they had a passing game the defence had to worry about :O

I don't quite understand the logic there, but to steal a quote from the coach, "it is what it is". And what it is is that they are giving up four yards a carry(17th), have given up nine td passes(21st) and are dead last in red zone defense.

How you get a pretty good defense out of that is beyond me.

Oh really?

According to my cipherin' they had drives of:
4 yd
-12 yd
4 yd
-8 yd
18 yd
0 yd
-1 yd

They only had 3 drives over 20 yds. The main way they were moving the ball was punting it.

Coming into the game the Cowboys offense averaged 33 points a game...The Pats D held their offense to 20.  On 11 third down attempts, the Pats held them to only 4 conversions, and forced a pick.  Of course Dallas was going to drive the ball, and get points on the board; they are the best team in the NFC, and the best the Pats have been matched up against so far.

That said, the Pats defense did pretty damn good if you ask me.

They might not be the biggest, but the Pats have arguabally the smartest linebacker crew in the NFL...Furthermore, there D line is nothing to over look.  Only potential problem I see (especially against a team like the colts) is their secondary, but as soon as players like Asaunte Samuel (lasy year was tied for # 1 in INT's) and Rodney Harrison (all pro) step it up, the Pats will be unstopable.

I really dont think there is a team in the NFL this season that can beat the Pats...Not even the Colts...And it's because every player on the field is a mini belichick.  They demand perfection each and every down...Doesn't matter if the play results in a first down, a TD or a pick, if a play isn't perfect, the players will recognize, and make damn sure they fix it....Thats what Belichick does...He takes average athletes, and makes them winning players through attiude and determination...

I played football for 9 years of my life...I was good, but I never had any star qualitys...That said, I gave 200% every down I played, and demanded perfection, and I ended up making, and starting Varsity from my Sophmore year on.  Skill is important, but what you demand of yourself is even more so, and that Patriots just have it.

Almost sounds like what people were saying about Rams in what? 2000? I think they were 6-0 and then lost in week seven. I would concur that Pats are playing better than anyone else right now. However, in the NFL any team can beat another team on any given Sunday. All it takes is for a few key players to have an off day.

I'll agree with that...Look at the Miami Dolphins beating the Pats 2 years ago.  Hell, look at college football this year!

By the way, as soon as Uconn knocks off Louisville and then South Florida, get ready to welcome us to the BCS!....Man, that would be freaking awesome if Uconn could beat Florida.........drooool.
