I believe that boroda is very much correct in that it changed history.. I believe that it proved just how bad socialism could become.. that it was, as mt says, a huge..... doomed to... fail, experiment.

The world is fortunate that it didn't last any longer.

October Revolution (Oct 26 OS) in Russia, Lenin seizes power.

Pretty much after that it kinda went downhill for Russian Leaders... I mean the Common Cold, Dirges and such.

:p

Mac

A dirge is a somber song expressing mourning or grief, such as would be appropriate for performance at a funeral. The English word "dirge" is derived from the Latin "Dirige, Domine, Deus meus, in conspectu tuo viam meam."
But then again Latin is a DEAD Language.

Sure changed History. Not sure it did much good though :(
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

Just to play Devil's advocate here....why did Communism fail in the USSR but was/is successful in places like China and North Korea? (I'm not saying that it is economically/environmentally successful, but as in "the people have not risen up and overthrown the government" successful)
