Falconwing was the name of my half-elf ranger when i played Dungeons and Dragons in 7th and 8th grade at lunchtime at St Mary Star of the Sea Catholic School in Virginia....


because i have no imagination, I have used this name for every role playing game since then up through AH2....

growing up ..it was the generation that named all there kids the same , there was 15 kids with my name in a class of 13 ..so I was nicked Rosco (age 6 i think)  .. added the "roo" to it just to seperate my tail from all the other "Rosco's on the net . (yea i'm the original Roscoroo)

My real name is Mikko Poikela. (Mikko = Michael)

 In 90's when I went to university, they gave us email- addresses and mine was mipoikel@universityXXXXX.

When I started AH I chose it because it was easy to remember. If I could change it, it would be MIP or something now.

When I spoke om Vox I got tired of people asking:

Where are you from ?
Are you irish ?

So I decided on Connery thinking that most of the people with half a brain would realise.... but I still get asked if I'm irish...

BigRat came after I started restoring big block corvettes.  My first Vette was a 73 454 4spd coupe (still have it).  Since it was a 454 car we always refered to it as the big rat, since it was the biggest production engine placed in a vette. For those of you that aren't car guys a big block chevy is referred to as a "RAT" motor.    So that's how I came up with BigRat.

I stumbled onto Aces High, shortly after watching one of my all time favorite movies, " The Great Waldo Pepper " . When asked for a name, I
chose Waldo, and couldn't believe it wasn't taken.

 I had a bit of a break between Aces High, and Aces High II, as my old
computer was not up to snuff. Rejoined as  Wald0.

 

 Oh Ya, the 'Where's Waldo ?' thing is always good for a Chuckle .

It has something to do with learning the startup procedure for the F16 and pulling it off in satisfactory time. I miss the discipline required of everyone to play that game.
