To those of you denigrating Governor Palin and her daughter.  I have this.

Did you follow all of the rules and follow everything that your parents raised you to believe and follow?  I know there were some things that I never followed.  If you want to keep comparing Obama to Christ and follow what he said, remember what Christ said.  "Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone."

I've dropped the first stone tossing verse a couple times.  It is very largely ignored on these boards.

My sincere apologies Moray if I contributed to you no longer wishing to participate in this thread.
Was not you sir.  <S>.  At least we can disagree or agree without screaming stupidity.

It has been my experience that the actions of teenage girls (teenagers of either gender for that matter) are rarely fueled with maturity and wisdom.

That this is news does not surprize me, but it does amaze me.

Even Obama told his campaign that Palin's daughter was "hands off." He threatened to fire anyone dredging up Bristol Palin's pregnancy for political purposes. He doesn't, however, control the media or tabloids.

Palin's real issues, such as troopergate, and her using her influence as governor to have a few of her high school friends' hired into high-paying jobs in her administration, along with letting her husband actually make decisions' on how alaska should be run (even though he has no official position in Alaskan gov't.) are the real issues.

I know you're gonna ask, Elfie...http://www.rockymountainnews.com/news/2008/sep/13/alaska-senators-ok-todd-palin-subpoena/?partner=RSS

However, rather than focus on things' which might ought to actually be considered, This country looks' for the live, on-air catfight, no matter what the reasons' are that started it.

I consider the fact that she hired friends to fill government roles a non issue. What politician doesn't do that to help out friends?

Your link doesn't say her husband got to make decisions on how to run Alaska, however, it does say that he got to sit in on meetings. I do find that a bit odd, but we have certainly seen far stranger things in American politics heh.

I'll bet Hillary never sat in on any of Bill's meetings.

If she did, we never heard about it. :)

no link for you

Are you saying you have no proof of your claims?  Don't you think it reflects poorly on you when the majority of the things you state as fact are unsupportable?

No.

I believe, from what I've seen from Palin's personality, that she is in fact a slimy, backstabbing, powerhungry, lying, racist, B.  Sorry, that's just my opinion. :aok

And you came to this conclusion based on things you saw on the intardnet? Or because you personally know this woman and have had enough interaction with her to make this statement?  :uhoh

If he read it anywhere and he wants to believe it that's good enough for him.  Kinda sucks he does not have a higher regard for himself.  You can't seriously expect anyone to respect you if you can't respect yourself.

Sir, sorry to say, but she isn't stronger, just new.

I kept an open mind about Palin until I was completely turned off to her when I saw the Gibson interview.  She was a programmed college student, reciting an exam she crammed for.  As well, I would think that anyone running for the second highest office in the country should at least have a working familiarity with the doctrine that has been applied to foreign policy for the last 7 years, and she had no idea, getting extremely defensive about it, throwing a sharp rebuttal at Gibson.  Both of the candidates on the democratic ticket have commented upon the "Bush doctrine" in detail, and have answered questions phrased exactly like hers.

Thinking like hers, in the wrong places, is going to hurt this country sometime.  Look at the last 8 years for reference.

I thought she handled a poorly posed question with ill intent to do nothing but embarrass her quite well. If Gibson had intended it as a real question he would have politely and simply clarified and rephrased the question. That he really didn't care what she thought about the "Bush Doctrine" also became apparent when he got it wrong himself.  The liberals are struggling and their bitterness is very apparent to me.
