I love the Vats system for stress relief. Vs. a gang of slavers blowing off that prostitutes head at point blank range with a chinese assault rifle just made my day.

Waiting to buy it for the PC.  Installed fallout 2 and found a great website with a homebrew patch that fixes everything that was still buggy.  Ahhh, psudo 3d graphics and gore are great!  Just finished killing the evil rat god in Trapper Town.

I'll be ready for F3, oh I'll be ready!

Big fan of the series here  Engine you have been miss informed.

I play it on the 360, put the CD in and don't worry about frame rate & video drivers issues.I found the fallout universe to be as fidel as the previous series, and definitly as entertaining. The cutie cutie 50s propaganda cynicla humor is evrywhere and still delectable. The universe is awsome to the lettle details. The way the costume, weapons, robots look is dead on to me for mthe Fallout universe.

I tried to start an evil character, after blowing up the Overseers head, I couldn't get myself to be mean to nice people  My Karma is so pathetically high that people randomly show up to give me free stuff. I guess I'll have to blow up Megaton to level my Karma back down. I play on medium, and with 100 small arms I had no problem reaching Rivet City with a scoped 44, and a hunting rifle. You don't have to run guns blazing on everything that moves, I could sneack in at night, going around pockets of opposition, shooting my way out when detected.
You don't always have to have the biggest gun, and I like that.
I did picked up a BOS pwr armor, by point blank blowing the head off a BOS outcast cruising the wasteland, b ut I can't use it. I actually don't need the armor for now the way I engage enemies. Those Super Mutants crack me up, they remind me of the Orcs in Warhammer.

I love the first person, VATS switch possibilities, it's like 2 games at once. The Karma is a cool feature. I just like roaming around the wasteland exploring in my blood covered surgeon outfit with my round google leathered mask. I proceed with care, my ovaries are giggeling everytime a structure stands out on the horizon. Moreover I pick my fights and travel light. I play it Mad Max style and that's a hell of a fun.

FO3 really gives you the choice of who you want to be and how you can play with it.
Dat jugs bro.

The Karma is a cool feature.

I've found it rather hard to get bad karma. Good karma can be gained from all around by freeing captives from super mutants, giving clean water to the beggars, which exists in multiple places. Leave the captive at it's faith and you don't get bad karma (even killing of the captive has no effect!). Tell the beggars to suck it and you don't get bad karma. Seems like blowing up Megaton and Tenpenny are the only guaranteed way to get massive bad karma, like you get massive good karma with ease. Though, then where could I store my stuff? Moira in Megaton also gives good quests with nice prizes, but I need to have a place to store my items before I get on such a long (and profitable) questing. It'd be a hell to carry all my stuff to Tenpenny afterwards, if I'd choose to blow up Megaton only after completing the quests by Moira. Besides, I have already decapitated Mr. Burke, when he attempted to kill Simms. I guess I can't stitch up the parts of his head anymore.

Compared to Oblivion it's a painfully quick game. With this bad character I've only completed two quests and gathered all the bobbleheads that I can get without following the main quest and I'm already up to level 9, only 11 levels from the cap. I could play Oblivion for days on end and still have plenty quests left and be nowhere near a level gap.

I'm finding the more I know of the AI, the easier it gets. I'm able to go hunting Super Mutants in downtown DC with just a hunting rifle at level 3. Even on the toughest settng the Mutants don't learn what 'shoot and scoot' is...

At least they have an excuse unlike the raiders. Super mutants are not known for their intellect and those who are, are eventually killed by their brethens (e.g. Fawkes, Uncle Joe).
Though, Enclaves and Steelers do take cover around corners. I had this one guy from Megaton keep covering behind a wall and take shots every now and then, exposing half of himself to the enemy.
