killed by nobody

Last night I was in a panzer taking out a few gv's and then heard a single shot and puff in tower with the following message.

I even checked the new stats page and found that I was indeed killed by nobody in a ponyD. I tried to see if I could find a score for this now name but found nothing.

Maybe someone dropped a bomb then discoed?  I think it would give your proxy to someone else though...  Very strange

I should have mentioned that there was plenty of people near me to get the proxy

Did you actually see or hear the plane?  I know you heard the impact, but I was wondering if there were any other indicators?

Just to refresh my memory I re-watched the film and now I will add to the confusion.

At no time during that sortie was I attacked by an air con. as a matter of fact there was not even a pony in the film. 
The only other con, besides the one at the end of the film, that fired on me, I killed.  I recevied no other hits from an enemy.

I belive I have also been given this message once..about 2-3 weeks ago. Was eqally puzzled and would like to hear from HTC if this is just a bug.

Had you recently logged in before this happened?

It takes awhile to populate the roster list (depending on lag, etc) and it's possible you were killed by someone who wasn't populated in the roster just yet...

I could be way off here, but it makes sense to me...

Actually it was my third gv sortie and they were both at least 10 mintues long. First one I drove all the way around the large city in the middle of TT and same with the sortie in the film. Should have been up by then.

Undrdog4 killed u in a panzer 1.6k out from ya.  In fact u fired on him and missed, but he didn't.  Why u didn't get the shot down message, I not sure but that is who killed ya.

I did see that he fired in the film however I watched the film repeatedly in slow motion and saw no rounds flying at or near me. Never even heard the shot hit me. Either way though if it indeed was him I should have received the undrdog4 killed you message, which makes it a bug, right.

Thanks for your input though.
