I live in Evart Michigan, and have a 100 acre wheat field to the N/W.  That's not much of a wind block, so you can imagine the snow I have around my place.

New York and Long Island got plenty of snow this weekend.

Was out playing in it with my Jeep JK. A fellow Jeeper from Westchester shot the image of his JK below...

evart is about 30 mins from me...my boyfriend lives in clare on 86 acres of nothing but open land. the blowing and drifting snow and the fact that he has this drive way that is like a mile long made it hard for me to go home friday. the snow drifts was like 3' deep maybe more in other spots. i was plowing snow with the front of my grand prix if that gives u some kind of clue how deep that stuff was.

Yeah, gettin pounded pretty hard in western WA state..
For a week straight...VERY unusual for this area..
Squeeky powder snow that packs into ice, alternating
w freezing rain.. About the WORST combo possible...

People just aren't used to this stuff in these parts...
Everything has prettymuch come to a standstill around
here.. Just a few days till Christmas too...

Rudolf better have his nose workin!!!

The average age in our city is somewhere between 55 and 70 too, so it's even more slow and hilarious.

"Global Warming" is a misnomer for "climate change".  You will get more snow and colder temperatures where you would not normally see it.  Less precipitation in areas where rain is normal.  Unseasonably warm temperatures in other areas.

 :O

It's easier to say, "look, the polar ice caps are melting" than, "look, 12 feet of snow in Michigan".  More long term I guess.

wrongway

God, I wish more people had the brains to understand this.

Global warming does not equate to turning the 'heater' up.

This time last year I was sweating my arse off and cursing the sun to hell at work.

Just last week I had my heater on, was cold and was pulling the boot-carpet out of my car because the torrential rain had beaten the seals in my car, leaving a god-awful stench when I realised what had happened.

Chit knows we need the rain and I am not complaining, but 12 months ago I was praying for death because of the heat. This year I am cold. Cold and very wet.

right now, in new jersey, it's a bit colder than normal for this time of year. but....here's the kicker. what it is now is the REAL normal. most people consider normal to be what the last few years were. the last few years in my area were somewhat warm, then a cold snap by new years. when i was a kid, this area used to have snow on the ground weeks before christmas. late october, early november quite often.

then it started to cycle a bit warmer. now it;s starting to cycle back to colder.

notice the word i keep using? CYLE. the climate CYCLES.

i'm not saying we're not afffecting the earth.......but we're not creating the problems that a lot of these alarmists are claiming.

mother earth has gone through cycles since she's existed. she still is. she will continue to go through these cycles long after we're all gone.

It also helps to understand that as the summers get hotter on one side of the planet, the winters get colder on the other.  I think it's considered global warming because the average temperature of the ocean is gradually increasing, and the polar ice year after year is gradually retreating.

In a nutshell: I wonder how hot it is in Australia this week?

Over 2 weeks ago Houston was blanket by an unknown cold, white substance the likes of which had never been seen before.  Before the scientists could discover just what the heck it was it disappeared as quickly as it came.  Large saucer shaped aircraft were reported over Houston that night, we still have no idea what the white stuff was.

WW, that is an incredible photo.  Very nicely done.

Very cold (-7 to a high of 14) and snow for a week and still going in central oregon.

We (humans) havent been around long enough to say we are going through a global climate change.
maybe this is a common 10,000 year normal pattern.
10,000 years isnt very long in the scope of a 5 billion year old planet.

Flying since tour 84

Most travelers stuck at PDX were under the impression it doesn't snow in oregon...  :aok

Someone get Gore on the phone, I want answers on "global warming"!

Haven't gotten hardly any snow yet just north of Colorado Springs which is notorious for blizzards and snow storms.  Only one very small storm thus far.   :noid
