While sleeping, I have weird dreams that the local Camels and Bison are plotting my demise.  The Camel part freaks me out.  I know why the Bison don't like me.

Not sure why, but I only have dreams when I go to sleep during day time hours. If I go to sleep at, lets say, 9:00pm then I never ever have a dream, but if it's one of those nights where I stay up all night and finally get to sleep at 6 in the morning, then I have dreams.

Kinda weird...

Anyone ever have that dream where you know you're dreaming so you go about doing whatever you want since it's not going to hurt you or have any consequences?

i've had quite alot of dreams that have reflected the future in some way. Sometimes I could just say the dream was a coincidence and the link not exact, but sometimes its vivid and shocking when the dream comes back in the real situation. Deja vu, i think, is from premonitions during sleep.

Yes I agree!  Dreams can be a window to the future.. The hitch is, that you never know, what vision, in what dream, is the window... Until it presents itself in reality!
Then you have the OMG, deja vu effect... Strange how your mind reacts to that effect as well.. Hits you in an instant, BANG, there it is... Like your brain is hardwired
to recognize when it happens... Odd!!!   Some ppl have tried dream analysis, to ID the "windows", but I really don't think that is possible for normal ppl...
I also think, that the "1 in 10million person" CAN...  Nostrodamus, Edgar Casey, etc...  A few others in history as well... A gift, or curse, or freak, of nature I think!!!

I have a scrip for Chantix too, haven't used it yet..  Don't think I'm going to either...

Personally, I wish that I didn't dream at all.. When I do, its never good!

I've had that happen. Some dreams seem to be premonitions not totally accurate but like the movie version, true to the story line but not accurate in detail. It's happened so often now, it can hardly be a coincidence.

I have very interesting dreams, often I'm somebody else in a dream. Last night I had an interesting aviation related dream. I was back at my Mother's house. The Irish army were having an exercise nearby and some of us went upstairs to watch the action. A C47 appeared and looking to be about to drop paratroopers, which is odd as the Irish army has no paratroopers or C47s :D But it hit a flock of crows, one engine stopped and it turned towards us, as it approache the engine fell off and it crashed into the garden and started burning. I gathered everyone and ran out the front of the house. The crew jumped out and ran into the house trying to get my family to evacuate but most people took no notice. I had to drag my Mother out of the house. But others wouldn't leave. I woke up in a fright.

I know plane crashes in dreams mean something is out of control in your life. Which fits well as it happens.

I wake up sometimes and feel emotionally drained.... not that the dreams are scary, or upsetting, just emotionally draining that I can't tell if I am really swimming in a clear water pond full of 2ft wide bull frogs, who are playing water soccer, with an official size football in their mouths, or am I sleeping through the alarm again with yet another completely weird Chantix dream!  Some are too weird to even describe, because they lack the feel of "normal" dreams, and yes, it feels like its real.

Okay... my weirdest may not be like that....

But, I fell asleep watching animal planet on my back (which makes me snore, which is a recipe for weird dreams).

And I had a dream that some dude in a kangaroo suit was trying to choke me to death (sleeping on my back...etc.)

I woke up and I said out loud "WHAT THE !@#%?!"

He takes us on a long and tedious trip of hidden doorways and underground hallways while singing and dancing to the song "Pure Imagination" (sung to the exact word how the original Willy Wonka sung it). He even does a trick by sliding down a pole and going right through the floorboards, then appearing behind another hidden door smiling and singing. The entire  song is sung word for word.

I laughed really hard at this point.  I believe my colleagues are aware of my distracted state  :D

Back from 2006 or 2007, copy-pasta from text document

Strange dream this morning.

Seems like I was watching a movie. Live on TV and in plain view, there was a genuine 1902 steam locomotive sitting on a bridge. There were rocket pods on the back of the coal tender because what they were going to do was fire it up about 1/2 mile down the highway and off the bridge into the water. The next one to go was a vehicle that looked halfway between the Mach 5 and a 1955 Ford Thunderbird.

They never did show the launching. Suddenly, I was in a vehicle. To the left of me was another old steam engine sitting there. Slowly, it starts to roll

If a video game or especially a chat buffer ever enters your dreams it is time to seek out professional analysis.

I had a dream where a person i recognised, but didnt know from where, hit me really hard below the ear and knocked me on my back. I was lying on the floor and could see him standing there through tunnel vision but i was KO'ed and could not stand up to defend myself. It was really frustrating wanting to stand up and being completely immobile.
I also have had alot of war dreams in close firearms combat. Everytime i get shot and feel the bullets go in and the numb pain and everytime it is because my trigger is too stiff and i cannot fire. War dreams always make me wake up sweating. People tell me you cannot die in your dreams but i have been shot or crashed or fallen and killed many times. Eventualy i think it will give me a heart attack in my sleep.
And I don't know much, but I do know this. With a golden heart comes a rebel fist.

i have had dreams like that too.

One was where meteors were making contact with earth. It was a clear blue sky and they were punching through the atmosphere. What makes no sense about it was that when they came through the atmosphere, they created a black hole in the sky that you could see into space. You could see the dust kicked up way in the sky on the horizon from strikes. One hit nearby and I remember seeing the cloud of debris come up and next thing I know I was on my back with several people around me looking. Then remember one saying that the local fire/police dispatcher left their post to be with their family because the big one with an iron core was about to hit the planet soon.

Then there were many dreams of nuclear attack and being caught in the blastwave. Remember one where I was looking up in the sky and seeing many contrails from the ICBM's and the missles themselves crossing the sky. it was towards the evening so the mushroom clouds in the distance has a dull orange glow to them. One hit the oil tank farm about 30 miles north of here and a massive wave of dust came right at me. Didnt think it was lethal but it did knock me out for a moment. Heard the ear deafening "BOOM" that was associated with the blast as it hit.

scary. Woke up many a night scared out of my wits over it.

and you feel shellshocked for a short while after waking up, every sense still tingling from the previous reality untill suddenly the dream is vaporised and you can only try to remember it.

Exactly. I wish I could remember the dreams I have but if im awake longer then 15 minutes its just a faint memory that I can recall bits and pieces. That long one I pasted back on the first page was one I just happen to have the PC on overnight and was able to type it out in detail before forgetting what I dreamt about. There are some I definately dont want to remember but also there is some that I just absolutely want to remember as hard as I can because it was so interesting. Those are the ones that even though it is a fantasy type wor;d/sequence, it would be great to actually realise im dreaming and then just explore and see what I find. perhaps even discover some ideas that do not exist in this day and age but would become a great invention. Have had several where I was the owner/pilot of a terresterial based flying craft that could do flight as what a UFO could do. Silent, fast, and move on all planes of direction without a hiccup. It wasnt a UFO either, believe it was an experimental craft I had developed and was flight testing it. Not 100% on the basics, but it did act on very localised gravitational and magnetic forces to put the aircraft into the motions stated above.

There are some that I had the exact dream down to the exact detail happen more then once. Actually there is one that I have had I would say a minimum of 10 times and it was the exact same from the first time to the last time. It isnt a bad one, just strange and doesnt make much sense (refer to my big post on page 1). I have had this one occur in the span of around 15 years and maybe once in the dream I made myself know that I have had this one before and try to change the outcome. Even if I know that happens and how this dream ends, I can just barely change one minor event but it still ends the same.

On the same page, there was some that were so bad I was scared toejamless and even tried anything I could in the dream to wake myself up (I was aware it was a dream) and I couldnt do it. The pinching, inflicting pain, and other "remedies" that you can use to wake up didnt do a single thing. I just had to suffer from immense and horrible fear before I am literary shocked awake because it was such a horrible dream. I cant remember a single thing right now what it was, but there is a deep down gut feeling of paranoia, nervousness, and fear just from trying to describe it. Must be locked away deep in the subconscious as to how it took place to still do that.

Is there an actual way to pull out dreams to have a certain dream at will when trying to go to sleep or not? I have had dreams that lasted about 10 seconds while I was physically asleep for 9 hours and then I have had some that lasted days upon days and I was just physically asleep for maybe 6 hours.

Sure is interesting to think about.
