AKP,

Goto controls, map keys. you can asign any command to any key there!
If you think Kilz board is what you need get it,it can be programed "ingame" to almost every command. I'm not sure about some of the analog commands but check the mapkeys section before you make up your mind.

Do you think the keys can be remapped in AH2 independently of the main keyboard keys?  If so... this is perfect.

yes they can

Right... I know I can change the key mappings there, but I was wondering if the Kilz Board shows up as a control (like a joystick) that can have its buttons mapped however you wish without effecting the main keyboard buttons, or if it just mirror they main keyboard... meaning I would have to change the main keyboard key mappings with it?

no it has no effect on your main keyboard. its just another device on the game. just like i use to use two sticks however only one was used for flying and the other for gvs

Here is a link to CH's MFP... custom setups are a breeze with this.  http://www.chproducts.com/retail/mfp.html

maybe its just me but i dont see the since on spending 200 bucks for a simple game pad

It less inexpensive to buy it directly from the actual manufacturer or any retailer offering the DX1 Input System and not from CH. CH just licensed the product to sell under its own name, it doesn't make them.  Basically, you'd be paying anywhere from an extra $50 to -$75 bucks just to have the CH name and a couple of templates if you buy this from CH.

Kilz: I want to be sure what you are saying. Are you saying that the round "Wolf King" thing is really a JOYPAD and not a KEYBOARD? I'm a Linux geek, and I'd be very pleasantly surprised if my Linux machines see it as a JOYPAD. When I went to their website, it sure sounds like its hardware is really just a USB keyboard at heart, just physically rearranged. In that case, my Linux machines would see it as just another keyboard. If it's really a hardware joypad at heart, then I could use Linux tools like "Qjoypad" to remap all of the buttons.

Can you confirm the hardware implementation one way or the other? Thanks!
