betty is a killer, as much as any of the males  ;)

I've felt the wrath of her typhoon many times  :cry

i was actually suprised to see you win that match up betty wtg
I thought I got lucky with the FM2 draw.  It is about as un-typhie as there is.

Then she picks the Spit 9.  I was already checking my convergence on the typhoon.

Underestimate Betty at your own risk.  She seems nice, but she is a killer.

not sure why that is kilz, im proud of my virtual pixel pilot skillz! rufleak was a great fight and the fm2 is NOT a plane i fly. i have flown it few times in KOTH or FSO but to fly it in the MA is something i dont do at all. its a rather easy plane to fly compared to my typhoon. in things like this tournament i tend to be a little competitive. just like in KOTH. i really would like to see how far in the rounds i can make it. there are many great sticks in the list and only a couple that i would be nervous about fighting but all i can do is put up the best fight to my abilities :)

Redd and I have been in contact.  We should be able to hook up in the next couple days.

Time difference is significant (Eastern US / Oz) so Sunday evening US may be the most convenient option.

FYI for BE.

(EDIT:  Would also like to go on record as suggesting we consider the removal of the Bf-110 and Mossie (sorry Bat) as random or selectable aircraft for the next ladder.)

Not at all sir! I actualy tend to agree with your thinking, the large size of the plane coupled with the extreme firepower makes for often very quick and skilless outcomes. However it is always an option for the contestants to agree to dump the cannons in the mossie. Still, it wouldnt hurt not to have heavy attack aircraft in the bracket at all.

It is up to the individual player to choose a gun package.  There is no requirement to agree between contestants.  Is this a correct reading of the tournament rules?

Yep, that's correct.

The thing with dropping the 110G and the Mossie is where do you draw the line?  Big planes (110C, P-38's)?  Big guns (anything over 20mm, quad Hispanos)?  Ground attack specialists (Hurri IID, 190F-8)?

Dropping anything labeled bomber is easy and the odds of acually being assigned one of those two planes is only 1:30.5.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.
