Technology changes, people don't. Individual restraint, govern yourself by your moralistic code or some other power will. Nothing wrong in my enlightened opinion with the display of ownership of a new fire arm nor the proper use of creations yield for its intended means by Almighty God. As Thomas Jefferson would of stated as he participated in Christian worship Service in the House of Representatives during his Presidency. So put that in your pipe and smoke it. 

It used to be kosher to string up black people if they used the same urinals as whites. Before that it was completely "moral" to kill off the native Americans and take their land. Civil rights for women are so new that their beginnings are still in living memory. Moral codes change and thus the people who are governed by them.

And yes, times have changed.  They have a tendency to do that.
