To be honest Trax, I get what you're saying. I think the problem in the US is that most people don't have an emotianal atachment to a soccer team - be it at club or international level - the way they do with a football, basketball, hockey or baseball team.
That could change with time, we do have the MLS(Major League Soccer) now, it's probably only about 7-8 years old now, most major cities have a team, like here in Chicago we have the Chicago Fire, I think it's televised, but I'm not sure, I've never seen a game and I don't think I know anyone who watches it either, I think there main audience is mainly Mexicans and people from Central & South America, but with having an actually soccer league I can see it growing in popularity.
some of the best football matches I have ever watched have ended up 0-0,
I'd be upset if I saw a game where at the end there was no winner, I mean it does happen every now & then in Hockey, but thats only after a 5min OT and then a shoot out, and it can happen in Football but thats extremely rare. Have they ever thought about having some kind of shoot out at the end if there was a tie?
