first off this all starts with the suggestion of impropriety, when none is found then we have the unfairness cries and then the adjustments ...

i see all these bones going one way, so now i have a question, will the Germans have full coverage radar well into england as is appropriate for this time period this frame ???

i am also curious about the lack of the TA-152 in this design, is there an explanation for that ???

???

Yes, i understand that the German had radar reaching to England.  But in this case, there are base that most allies are landing that axis know of.   Hence, a advantage for them knowing where we are going after we bomb, sweep or what ever.  With that, a smart CiC of the axis would set up a "blockade" in that area by having squads picking off any allied cons RTB to that base.

Easier said than done.

Like I said, even though we were there, we spent most of the time clearing ponies off OUR sixes...we weren't much higher than 6K at the most...guys were RTBing from 20...25...30k even. We were hoping to catch the buffs mainly.

I am not the designer of the event, but I seriously doubt there will be any changes made to the radar settings or aircraft. This has to to with balance (of a game) just as much as historical accuracy. I seriously doubt you'd want to have to ground 75% of the Axis aircraft due to a lack of fuel would you?
Baumer pretty much covered it.

As for the Ta-152 my sources list it as an early 1945 AC and this FSO takes place in the fall of 1944.

well since it is fall 44 and by that time there were plenty of fields available on the continent ...

why not open up most of the fields west of the 7 line for allied RTB ?

just curious ...
