:rofl no offence but that ak looks so stupid with a scope and small mag

They are more practical when shooting targets at the range, The 30 rounders are just ammo burners. :)
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Just got my girl home from the store! Haven't shot her yet, but Tupac and I have a range-day scheduled for tomorrow.
Here she is!

So, heres the thing. Most of the cosmo is out of the barrel, and the shop says it's good to fire. I poured some boiling water down the barrel and dried it out tonight. It could use a more thorough cleaning, but I couldn't do much more with the combination of my experience and the fact that my girlfriend was b***ing and moaning about the smell of Hoppes 9.

It is still COVERED in cosmo, (The exterior of the metal anyway). So, do I just spike the bayonet into the dirt outside and pour boiling water over the metal? Or is there a more refined way to de-cosmo it? I've tried looking at online articles and while they describe useful tools, I think I need a more step-by-step idiots-guide-to-removing-cosmo.

Looks like a good Yugo! Check the Yugo code chart at survivors forums to see how old your rifle is.

Get a Metal pan, disassemble rifle, soak metal rifle parts in solvent, acetone, kerosene, brake cleaner etc...

For the barrel itself? (It would take a HUGE ammount of solvent to fill a pan large enough for the whole barrel...) And then do I whipe dry? Or just leave the solvent on?

I should of been clearer.

Reciever Cover, Bolt (Dissasembled), Bolt Carrier, Trigger Group, Operating Rod, Spring and Gas Piston. You said you cleaned the barrel already. Visually inspect Gas Block and Gas Tube to make sure there is no Cosmo there.

Gun store sold us some Gunk Off while we were there. Didn't specify what for, but I read the directions and figured it might work on cosmo, (The SKS wasn't full of it, it was just a light, sticky coating on everything.) Sprayed the Gunk Off all over the metal (None on the wood of course...) the cosmo literally ran right off! The force of the aerosol mixed with the chemical pushed it right off without trouble. I just feel like it was too easy, lol. Like there's a reason more people don't use this stuff like that...

Make sure your Firing Pin moves freely (rattles) when you shake the Bolt and you should be good to go.

It DID... and then I shot some cheap wolf ammo through her... and now she is just... gunked to hell and back...

Shiney silver firing pin: Black.
Shiney silver bolt receiver: Black.
Shiney silver bayonet: Black.

Gunk off will cut through cosmo, but won't get all of this black off. Tried Hoppes 9. Still a little grey... Last time I EVER shoot Wolf ammo.

Firing range with Tupac and his buddy.

First 10 rounds on the new SKS:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_BuUZByxnaE

I was a little too excited, lol. I had been waiting all day, and driving WAY too fast to get to the range. I got there, checked her out one last time, saw no problems, cycled the bolt a couple times, moved freely, so I loaded her up. (Before you all start, my stance sucks, I know. I don't know why I always revert to that, I think it's me trying to place the weight of the weapon over my core.) I lost count of how many rounds, hence Tupac telling me "You're empty" at the end, lol. I loved her. Greatest feeling in the world!

Shooting the M44:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdg7ACYK4AE

This is the best shot of the fireball. And you can FEEL the shockwave when it goes! Whenever he shot while I was looking down at my own stripper clips, I could feel it roll over me, and it never stopped really dropping my jaw! It's an amazing feeling, and my new goal is to track down an M44 for myself!

Shooting Tupac's new 91/30:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oChvUf3VYAs

She was a kicker, not like the M44, but MUCH more than the SKS. The bolt was definitely stiff (Not sure what cleaning Tupac did overnight, but I know he's planning to oil the bolt). Very nice weapon to hold!

I wonder who that astoundingly good looking fellow was shooting the M44?
