Nope, so far no show.  I'm in there right now flying around in an A-20 over bomber alley.

Had a blast in the DA with Beefcake fighting in the A-20 vs. him in the B-25C.  Later we did a B-25H vs. B-25C duel and then finished off the night with a couple of B-25H joust fights that we a lot of fun and probably could be turned into a small fighting league of its own.  Here are the films, enjoy.

A-20G vs. B-25C
As you can see, when it comes to dogfighting the B-25C is outclassed which should come as no surprise to anyone.  It's a bomber and while some may use it offensively or defensively against air targets, it does not mean the plane is a "dogfighter", let alone successful as one.  I'm not anywhere near the level of flying in an A-20G as someone like cobia or Widewing and Beefcake is an excellent pilot in that Mitchell (as seen in duel #2) but he couldn't over come the fact that anytime I had to reset the fight to get a position all I needed to do was go into the vertical.

B-25H vs. B-25C
I upped a B-25H for this fight, with a free for all merge for fun.  I kept on laughing each time I fired the 75mm wondering if Beefcake could hear the blast and then the fight evolved into a gunner fight like two galleons fighting on the seas.  Great fun.

The next fights were purely for fun, B-25H jousting.  Coming in head on at starting to fire at d4.0 out and keeping on firing until there is a hit or both planes pass each other (hopefully without colliding), extending to d6.0, turn around and do it again.

First joust Beefcake nailed me hard, saw the round coming at me too and knew I was dead.  So much for the old saying, "You never see the one that hits you."  Wrongway was in Beefcake's top turret, think I might have made him crap his pants when I lobbed a 75mm round right past the turret.

The second one lasted a little longer, we actually were able to make two passes and I got lucky with a shot inside what looked to be 800 yards right on his nose.

Thanks again to Beefcake for making it a fun time.   :salute

:salute Ack-Ack that was a lot of fun. I wasn't surprised by the outcome but I really enjoyed the fights none the less. Here are a few screen shots from the A20 vs B25 duels.

Duel #1:

Taking off to go meet AKAK and determine the fate of the galaxy. *Cue Duel of Fates music http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MbPX4xrKNlM *

AKAK and I meet over the strats and commence our epic battle. I turn around in an attempt to catch AKAK while he goes into the vertical.

However, I just end up playing into AKAK's hands as he comes over the top in perfect position on me.

With a few shots the battle is over after I suffer an instant pilot kill. A20: 1 - B25C: 0   :salute

More from Duel 2 coming soon...

The Epic Duel, part two.

AKAK and I close in on each other.

As we pass each other on the merge AKAK goes into the vertical, just as I expected. My only real chance is to try and get him on the deck, so I blow past him and extend out by about 2k, my plane creaking as it starts to overstress from the excess speed.

As I slowly come around I see AKAK barreling in on me so I turn into as hard as I can trying to get him to break off the attack.

AKAK whizzes past me at 350mph, but I manage to avoid his 50cals of DOOM!!!!........for about 4 seconds.

Though I avoided the first attack, AKAK manages to loop the A20 very quickly. I again turn into him again hoping to avoid the attack.

Once again I survive but AKAK once again loops over on to my tail. I'm now very slow and I only have about 300ft to work with. Time for something stupid!
As AKAK comes up underneath me I begin to climb while chopping my throttle and rolling.

As I start to invert I'm hoping that AKAK has to much speed forcing an overshoot.

*vomits*

As I roll out I see AKAK still behind me, I'm now out of alt, speed, and luck.

With AKAK 400yrds behind me I try to use my "Hail Mary" and begin shooting at him with my turret. I manage to get lucky and nail 1 of his engines, however.....

......he hits one of my engines which catches fire. A20: 2 - B25C: 0   :salute

Thanks for the fun Ack-Ack. I really enjoyed it and I look forward to maybe doing this again. B25H Jousting!  :D
