Your boring the heck out of me. I promised this camp I would be far more aggressive. So I up under the enemy, I go in at low alt. Then I run out of gas while 6 ponies, 3 109s, 2 f4us, and even a spit just b&z me. The Bish, once my proud chess piece have gotten so self unassured they won't even follow me out of their horde. Then when I finally isolate one and get involved with my f4u1a against a spit, f4f or some other turner and forget about the other 30 I get picked. I can't say alot about picking because I pick as well. I'm just so hungry for the fight. Not sure if I should pay 15 bucks a month for this amazingly weak game play.

That was just an example, this happens every night and day. I even told them send two down to the deck. I'll fight the two. I won't survive but at least I'd get some action.

This probably the single most important problem with people quitting the game or taking breaks from it (like i did) because people really don't fight to better their skills anymore.  They always BnZ they always run once you get the advantage and they never learn how to really fight.  Most people suck when it comes to one on one now days because al they do is run once it doesn't go there way.   This is such a frustrated topic I don't even want to talk about it anymore.

ROFLMFAO!!!...nothing against you personally but, i find such commentary humorous when amazingly many such comments come from people who fly the uber easy mode late war clown planes against 30+ eny aircraft...not saying that you do it yourself.

it really is too bad few players know, must less understand boelcke's dicta...wonder if it would decrease the drama on 200 and in the forums...

•Try to secure the upper hand before attacking. If possible, keep the sun behind you.
•Always continue with an attack you have begun.
•Only fire at close range, and then only when the opponent is properly in your sights.
•You should always try to keep your eye on your opponent, and never let yourself be deceived by ruses.
•In any type of attack, it is essential to assail your opponent from behind.
•If your opponent dives on you, do not try to get around his attack, but fly to meet it.
•When over the enemy's lines, never forget your own line of retreat.
•Tip for Squadrons: In principle, it is better to attack in groups of four or six. Avoid two aircraft attacking the same opponent.

I was so frustrated after a couple of days of that. Probably should have kept my whine to myself. In all my years of playing I just never saw it so bad. In actual war I think they really did the same thing though.

Same old story, though I think it has gotten worse with hordes of newer players who don't have any previous flying experience in sims like the original crop of players did... However, as always, the solution is simply to kill them and laugh at them.

You are absolutely right stang. Best go back to my old AW ways of thinking. Teach 'em they are going to die no matter their alt.

Actually it is me flying the 15-30eny planes and the p-51Ds especially that do not realize that they can do more then make one HO pass then run far away turn around and repeat.  Why cant these pilots fight in general instead of running away and hoing the entire time especially when we both start out co-alt.  It is frustrating.

Heck, I get frustrated with the large number of P51D pilots who come in with a few thousand feet of advantage who do nothing but the one pass/extend 5k attempt HO extend 5k repeat game.  I really don't care if you kill me at the end of a fun fight.  Just please don't bore with the timid flying stuff.

you're flying your toon to it's strengths right? consider the pony pile-it is flying his toon to its strengths too...turn fight in a p-51d and you will usually die. granted in general terms, the 5k extenders are usually noobs who learned that stuff in the da from some furball lake hero, and don't know any better...no avoiding them unfortunately...they are easy to bait though.

Oh I get what you're saying and agree, but the P51 is far more capable then people give it credit and the long long extensions get terribly tiresome.

this would be perfectly legit.....if your life really depended on how you flew in AH...using this as to why someone flies the way they do in game is  :rofl at best.

it's a shame ain't it? strangely that same modus operandi occurs in other multiplayer flight sims...

not that i would expect it ink, but if you actually comprehended each aspect of boelcke's dicta and considered that for the most you use many of those principles...imagine what the fights in the main arenas would be like if everyone at least attempted to use them...

i'll try to help you with the translation in ah terms:

•Try to secure the upper hand before attacking. If possible, keep the sun behind you.
already occurs for most players...altitude is life...attack from above.

•Always continue with an attack you have begun.
no running away, no ack hugging, no runstangs....

•Only fire at close range, and then only when the opponent is properly in your sights.
self explanatory...the better sticks don't fire from 1k out hoping for a golden bb...

•You should always try to keep your eye on your opponent, and never let yourself be deceived by ruses.
no brainer really...

•In any type of attack, it is essential to assail your opponent from behind.
another no brainer...in ma terms it would mean fewer ho's

•If your opponent dives on you, do not try to get around his attack, but fly to meet it.
in acm terms climbing to your opponent head on as he is diving on you will put you in a better position to get on his six as he is trying to maneuver from the dive...  :lol  ...of course the brewster may be an exception

•When over the enemy's lines, never forget your own line of retreat.
doesn't really apply to toonville

•Tip for Squadrons: In principle, it is better to attack in groups of four or six. Avoid two aircraft attacking the same opponent.
the important part is underlined...fewer whines of gang bang, picktard, etc...

i hope that simplifies it enough for you...

:lol    ya NO body would fight with out an advantage....MA's are bad enough as it is...I think I know what you are saying, but the simple fact remains this is a game and to use "tactics" that were designed to insure your success at staying alive, into a game that no one dies is.....well I find it funny. but I have ALWAYS been of the mind set that I do not care how anyone flies just how I fly.   you will never hear me complain about being "Ganged" "horded" "picked" "vulched" "dragged through ack" any of the stuff that happens in the MA, it is what it is, I learned that A long time ago.    I have ALWAYS fought the "hourd" and will continue to do so for as long as I find myself here :aok    but for me it is funny when Say im fighting like 4 or more cons and they ALL HO, or the 1 con that lost advantage and then just runs to friends instead of trying to overcome......to me that crap is funny, and I cannot help but laugh at it.
