P51s had superior high-altitude performance to the 262, also jumped them when they were busy killing te bombers, or chased down the injured ones rtbing (Walter Nowotny).
Juggler, i see your point, 262 wins, but in a boring way, it has to extend-rope etc. The only planes i like to scissor against, is the 190 series (i often lose tho : ). Jets are superior, but winning an 1v1 in them is too boring for me.
Horde shepherding rulez, you should know, 250+ 262 kills last month  ;)
Edit: Bar, i never ever wanna stallfight in a 262 against your pony...

I would say the same thing can be said for ponies and 190s vs most other reasonable fighters in the game  :aok

When I get jumped in my 262 if find it very easy to get a overshootnon the enemy. They are normally going way to fast and overshoot and since they are desperate for the kill they will cross in front to start another attack, and when that happens....BOOM!

Yes. There was a fairly successful 262 "mission" yesterday which resulted in half a dozen plaguing the skies. It was all in defense of a V-base. It was the most practical use of the 262 I'd seen. The enemy air presence was pushed back.

toss some 30 mike mikes at them...they go away.

i have to ask though...vafii, why the kneejerk reaction all of a sudden? it's not like they were just introduced last week...and lately in any horde base attack you find at least one buzzing around looking for a pick, easy enough to avoid, unless your situational awareness sucks.
