Yes, I know they appeared at the end of WW2 but having jets fight against propeller driven planes is ridiculous.

So could you explain exactly why you think a 262 has no place in AH?

And you getting shot down by one is not a valid answer.

I would say the same thing can be said for ponies and 190s vs most other reasonable fighters in the game  :aok

Just saying :D

JUGgler

The P-51 can turn well for 180 degrees or so to kill something once it bleeds the victims E and sets on its tail. As for the 190...I tried to make it into a fighter, I really did.......

The 262 has a very high wingloading, very low thrust-weight, difficult to aim guns, and for some reason they ruined the forward view. And its probably BETTER in AHII than it was in real life. (I've never set the engine on fire or had a flameout by moving the throttle too quickly in AHII.) You don't want the first of its kind in any new technology, including jet fighters. Honestly, I think the perk price should be lower.

It is highly perked, and therefore pretty rare.  If a 262 shoots you down in a fighter, you weren't paying attention because any sort of break turn pretty much leaves them shooting by you with no hope of a shot.

It is fine where it is at. Reducing the the 262 perk price would increase the frequency of 262s flying in game. With an increase of 262s, there could be some gameplay balance issues.

The 262 was operated in WWII and also met inclusion requirements. Also, then we'll use the 163 instead.

The learning cure is quite long on the Me262.  It is not easy to fly.

No, it definitely takes some getting used to.  I usually find that the first-time pilots will lose one in 1 of 3 ways:

1.  Dive until compression makes it a lawn dart.
2.  Jerk a fully fuel loaded 262 around until a wingtip shreds off in some impossibly high-G maneuver.
3.  Land one at too high a speed and run off the end of the runway.

Just as an FYI - I've been flying a long time and have lost one ALL 3 WAYS!  I call that PILOT ERROR 0 - Monkey too stupid to fly correctly.

Just took one up for a few runs. Please try one for a while before you say it needs to go. I wish they had a jet arena open for a couple nights a week.
