Ill see your charger and raise you a Corvette ZR1

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RlvQLQTtOmk
you cant compare the 2, ones a sports car. the other is a muscle car.
thats like comparing a mustang to a Ferrari, or a camaro to a Lamborghini

but i'll see your raise and give you a z06 getting its  :ahand handed to it by a 71' charger.

No a Corvette is considered a Muscle car by all accounts...take the Z06 for example:

Massive 7.0L V8 Engine with 505HP and 470 ft-lb of torque. Low RPM, out putting 505hp at 6300rpm. 470 torque at 4300rpm.

Now for the GT500:

Mid Sized 5.4L V8 Engine with 550HP and 510 ft-lb of torque. Low RPM, out putting 550hp at 6200rpm and 510 torque at 4250rpm.

Just by the engine block alone the z06 is more of a muscle car than the GT500.

Yawn... I'm Prudy sure this Street legal 4700lb F150 Ford truck would teach them both a lesson lol  unless either of those can run a 9.95 @ 138 mph Quarter Mile and 192 Mph clocked in at the Mile Run.

GM has been moving performance guys from the corvette line to the camaro line. That is why the ZL1 will be a track car right off the showroom floor.

Many corvette enthusiast are moving to the camaro too.

I don't blame sales for the mustang dropping, I personally think the mustangs from '94 forward are hideous, especially after '05. I want my pointy edges back, dammit!

As far as the Mustang goes, the Mustang has always and always will be a car made to be improved upon. A stock mustang is complete garbage, talks the talk but can not even crawl. The mustang line has always been about upgrading and improving out of the consumers pocket not the company's. If you want a decent mustang you have to buy the upgrades.

A Charger, Corvette, or even the Camaro come with a great package as STOCK. Even the bottom of the line models of these can use the mustang as used toilet paper.

Umm, the Coyote 5.0 has over 400hp.   :headscratch:

First you compare a POS 4 door Charger (regardless of engine) to a Mustang/Camaro and then compare a NON-MUSCLE CAR Corvette Z06 to a Mustang?    You proved my point with your own words.    I thank you for it.

Have you not taken business classes? The more money you make now the more you can invest and multiply with your assets. You must have long and SHORT term goals and success...GM and Chrysler are doing both at the same time, making more money now to invest in a better future.

As far as the Mustang goes, the Mustang has always and always will be a car made to be improved upon. A stock mustang is complete garbage, talks the talk but can not even crawl. Not a little biased are you?  Not too well informed either.   There have been a slew of comparisons between the Mustang, Camaro and Charger.  The Mustang always cleaned the Camaro and Chargers clock.

Nowhere did I read in the article anything about the Mustang being discontinued.  I read that a plant may shut down, but unless a person is totally clueless, you would know that they can easily move a production line for a model to another plant.  They said supply with the V6 is down to a 30 day supply, that sounds like they are selling about as fast as they can make them.   Hardly sounds like a candidate for shutdown now does it?

They aren't "dropping", which is why if your reading comprehension was as good as your eye for styling, you'd realize Ford WILL NOT cancel the Mustang, IS NOT EVEN PLANNING to cancel the Mustang, etc.    Who GAF if Mazda takes their cars out of there?   The property and plant are already paid for.    Gee, "maybe we could make the engines in house and save on expenses"?

The Camaro sales raised 4% in May!!!!! WOOHOO throw a party!!!!!!

You counter with a statement saying a Z06 is not a muscle car...by definition it is one. I provided proof and you have not. The comparison between a Z06 to a GT500 is pretty fair in terms of performance and price. The point in that post was proving that if you can consider a GT500 a muscle car then a Z06 is right there with it.

I don't know what I am talking about? Maybe these guys don't either:

The mustang line is all about the upgrades!

Corvettes and Camaros are about giving you a muscle car with all of those upgrades as stock parts. That's why Mustangs are not doing well.

Maybe the reason they lost is because everyone already has a mustang who wants one. There are 13 mustang owners in my neighborhood. I see a Camaro probably every once in a few weeks. I see around 4-7 mustangs a day when I get out and go to the store.
