I don't know. it seems kind of shallow to me.

I'd be a heck of a lot more impressed if she just said heck yeah she was doing it for the Marine first then told Timberlake she was going instead of him pushing her (shaming IMO) into doing it.

You misinterpreted I believe.

I read it as "I'll go, I'll do it for you" (referring to the Marine that asked), turning to Timberlake, "Are you going to come?"

I've got a feeling its gonna get a bit classier...  10 bucks says the Commandant shows up.  Or, I've got a feeling that whomever is tasked with setting up the 3/2 Ball is gonna get some help.
