Krusty,

In circumstances such as this where money is concerned as paying subscribers. It is best to get everything clearly stated when this kind of news is released. Since HTC is a purely private venture, we have very few choices other than to pay or go at any given time. HTC can choose to stop accepting our money without explanation anytime they get tired of any individual subscriber. So it is prudent to politely request if there will be any change in our fees or requirments surrounding that as a consiquence of this new buisness venture.

Everyone has to plan how they spend their money to make their personal life work. If there is going to be a change. Alot of somebodies will have to review their personal plans accordingly. I'm way to old now to be afraid to ask the logical obvious questions.

Now you gotta like that picture :)

I see the "before" but where's the "after"?

 :P

P.S. bustr, I don't think anything is changing per se. I've seen other games with similar retail schemes. Counter-Strike for example. The core game itself is still created by the original people, the packaging and details of getting out to stores, etc, is what this Iceberg company is doing. So they're just re-selling the game in a package. Everything you say is true, HTC can do whatever they like, but in this case I've seen a few games go this retail route and I'm not worried about radical changes at HTC because of it.

EDIT: I think the only change might be more Euro players. This could just be a savvy push to get more players/customers because of flagging subscriptions due to really piss-poor US economy the past years.

It's just another distribution channel.  It doesn't replace anything.  You can still download it for free.

More targets?  Yay!!!!!

That's exactly what I was thinking as I was reading the OP.
"Now, if I had to make the choice of one fighter aircraft above all the others...it would be, without any doubt, the world's greatest propeller driven flying machine - the magnificent and immortal Spitfire."
