I come here because nobody else I know has even a remote interest in WWII aircraft, or history in general.

: to all of the "friends" I've made, to the arguments which I've had (and lost, most of the time) and for the friendly banter that I see at least once a month.

  It's the community of people that have a great thirst for history and all sorts of Militaria. There is so much info on the boards it's hard to read it all. The tips in the help forums are priceless.
  It's useful for airing you greviances and problems in game or what others have encountered. The staff at HTC are very responsive and give great feedback.
  Ok but having fun, discussing less serious topics, seeing whats in the mind of others is very entertaining.

It was an early method of aircraft detention, used primarily in Japan. The concept was that the giant horns would pick up the distant rumble of approaching enemy bombers, and then the ack would start blasting away.

I have known for years that if you want to get the feel for a game read its forums. This month makes one year playing the game, has it been hard. Hells yes, has it been fun hell yes where have I gotten most of the help playing the game here in the forums. I wasent lucky enough to find helpfull players in the game to give me some pointers just got called a noob. I post a few time on things I know like tanks and keep my mouth closed on things I dont, you will never see me pull out the flame thrower.

It hasn't changed in the 10 years I've been here.  Same stupid whines and complaints.  Same gripes about this plane or that.  It's just different folks doing it.  Good fun mixed in though and a fair amount of history.

Are you sure they are different folks?  Shade seems to be the word of the day.  Perhaps they will eventually like themselves enough to just be one guy...
