It's pretty fun. But the one map gets pretty old.

ok ok ok ... I'll admit it.  I downloaded BF3 just to see what all the ruckus is about.  I've not really done a FPS since the original MoH, so this might be a jump for me.

Thing is, I have it down loaded but it wont let me install it???   :huh   Anyone have any ideas?

I was gonna get it but you have to install some sort of sony game system software just to download it... no thanks.  The last software I got from sony was a rootkit.

It looks like a nice game but I already have steam, and I KNOW I can turn steam off.  I press the "turn off" button and the processes vanish, every one of them.  I can't possibly trust sony to do the same thing after what they did to my computer last time.  So I'll play cool games on steam and keep giving sony the finger :)

Everyone I know, goes away, in the end.

I'm confused, is it vista/7 only?

BF3 is DX11 only so yes, it won't run on XP or older Windows versions.

the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.

After playing it for a bit today, I have to say that it's the most immersive game I've ever played. The sounds and graphics are just unreal. The actually gameplay however I think needs some tweaking. Like my whole team playing sniper laying prone at the back of the map...

Hey guys, before you jump into the fight, make sure to go to your audio settings and switch over to "war tapes". really bumps up the immersion.

Having read this thread, I downloaded it on the PS3. It wouldn't have worked on this laptop. Really liked it. Thought it was a bit of a Sniper heaven though. Kept being picked off by one guy, so I hunted him down. Also the underground stuff was pretty compelling. I will be buying it myself once it comes out. I found it easy to get on, maybe the Euro server is less crowded even if it's full of strange languages.

Now I need to either buy another TV or find some way to get the kids to turn off the Saturday morning cartoons.   Get out and play in the rain and wind kids! :neener:
