re:
http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,259955.0.htmlThere are some guys that do very well trying to get my bombers up high. I will leave the definition of "high" to your interpretation. These guys fly Spits, P-51s, and P-47s, so far as to my encounters. Ta-does a good job at 30,000 feet and he was waiting for me. Ta- not so good higher up. Ta- has the highest altitude range in the game, I think, I've had it to 40,000 feet, but good luck with that!
They have all lost except the one guy that, he said, unintentionally rammed me tail through nose and kept going, but he died. My question is, if they died, I did not get their points, why? So I figure they lost control and bailed after my icon went blank. I saw them go poof! One guy replied I did a good job shooting at him and hitting him.
What is very hard to win, is being bounced by more than one guy.
I have learned a few tricks as to my video card settings and game setup that improve my bomber's guns and there is no cheating involved. Those same settings work a wee bit better in my fighters.
I always go in high and escape higher with bombers. Take lots of gas! Well, always, since maybe I got a bit smarter since I began here.
B-24 does not fly high enough to escape.
I like long range bombing sorties as it is much like playing chess.
A typical outing is 2 hours and about 28,000 damage units incurred if I do it correctly.
Bombing the outback city as to points, is a waste of time.
