i have a redirect virus on my hard drive , ive tried every virus checker and malware progs i can think of , i get dissed every time , on malware bytes it says blocked to malisious web site out going , does any1 know , where i cam find this virus in my system so ican alter it via note book etc , ive looked where the avg said it found it , but it replicates it and keeps doing my head in

Dont use Free anti-virus programs. Its free for a reason. When searching the internet and looking at things that shall not be mentioned here, they will not protect you from virus attacks planted in the page.

Win7 + Norton = no viruses for 3 years.

I used a free anti-virus program before that and went through 2 hard drives before i wised up.

i have norton on my other machine but its broke can i transfer it over to this one ? as im still paying 4 it ?

You should be able to download it from the Norton website and use your account info to activate it on your current computer.

You may have to get rid of the bug you have first, though.

next download Spybot seek & destroy  install it and run it ( do not worry about all the advanced features <---- you can read up on this afterwards when you have time )

Before running it, go into safe mode with networking. This will load only the processes required for a base version of windows to run, and helps avoid having any dodgy software start too.

Microsofts free antivirus works just fine.  No. Viruses for 2.5 years....Norton is a virus all by itself??
