No one came past that jumo factory.

 i saw that after i landed. we're looking into what happened..........

We followed our orders, and the enemy buffs didn't. They bombed the wrong target. Does that mean we won???

I believe I know what happen.

My squad was targeted with hitting the ammo strat at Landsberg in 11.3.2

We came in to the target from due south.

Before we got there, I believe that the Munich strike group ended up getting found by the fighter CAP for the LCA's target in Landsberg. I believe the orders had them flying pretty close to it.


We only saw a few cons over our target and we picked up the cap from the Munich attack, and they said that they got hit before target.

The inbound strike group you were expecting was hit by the fighter CAP from my target.

It happens from time to time. Sometimes a strike package gets lost or confused, sometimes they get intercepted on the way in, sometimes an outbound enemy strike finds them and the escorts decide to go rogue and tear them up instead of staying on mission to escort their force.

Large group of B17s that hit the V63 strats were all at 22-23K .... any reports to the contrary can be attributed to FW altimeters that are installed inverted :-)

 i was in the bomber group you were escorting. you didn't look all too bored to me. 

 also, look at it this way. when bombing targets, boring can be a good thing. the group you escorted devastated their target, and landed with zero losses. in part, that is thanks to you and the rest of the fighters up there watching over us, as we knew for fact that we could man our bomb sights, and not worry about enemy fighters getting to us.

Attention Luftwaffe pilots,
The axis Luftwaffe, being such a superior force, managed to wiped out both the radar and the ammo factory enemy strike groups in one fell swoop. while it left the Munich defenders with nothing to do, their job was as important as anyone else's. had the strike group made it through, damage would've been done. in this case due to the allies inability to follow orders, we were able to annihilate them(as we did in the AVA on Thursday night) at one base instead of giving them a chance to drop anything at our important parts plant. a Big <S> to the defenders of 63 and to the defenders of Munich!! The Yankee dogs will not be so enthusiastic the next time they come to germany!

I think we're talking about separate missions in this post....

I was the ALLIED bomber lead that attacked A50 (Field).  Which was comprised of the 325th VFG - bombing, Freebirds, 327th and Duxford Wing - escorting.  And there wasn't any AXIS defenders in or near A50.  I rechecked my orders and I hit the correct target.  So what happened at A50?

And I'm not complaining in the least I love hitting undefended targets.  Its a lot easier on my crew chief!!

Munich wasn't even touched. KN, Claim Jumpers and AK's were flying in circles until about T+55 when we heard the enemy bombers turned west. No matter how you put it someone screwed up.
