I would think that the ADA would cover that.

If you knew how ADA laws are enforced, it's in the pipes and doing its thing so to say. (if you own a buisness, make sure your'e pretty compliant (employees and customers if "retail") before one of these guys fresh outa college shows up with a tape measure or someone drops a lawsuit on you for slipping on an alley cat's furball on your property).
Odd is the publicity in this case, ADA lawyers or the like are quite adapt/expereinced/proficient at squeezing pennies, without any hype, at least a couple times a week. And you gotta know what releasing the media hounds will do to this guy's life and buisness in this case (which he would probabley already stand loosing if he was as neive as he sounds).
