Skyrock I have furballed for years.  I fly like I feel like flying.

I don't teach gameplay, I teach flying and air combat.

Comming in high or patroling between bases, Pan's easy to spot amongst the horde when you find him with plenty of ammo and fuel, he's the first one running back to the field.

What about a group of squaddies that CAP an enemy base, making it impossible for an enemy fighter to get any alt or speed before getting tag-team BnZed to death - and then calling that player an ack-hugger for refusing to get ganged?

You're blatantly using ack to protect you and generate kills, because if you had ANY other motive you can up at a neighboring field and return to the one being vulched with a superior plane at a superior strategical position BEFORE all your ack was destroyed (thus increasing your strategial advantage with time - sooner is sooner.  You're waiting and flying circles in your ack at the base being vulched, because?...).

Because it takes too long to get back to the base from one a sector distant?

I'm interested in Caldera's question.  What about that group of people capping the base, making fun of someone who tries to up from it?

In an air combat game, air combat =/= gameplay?

If you get vulched it's your own fault. You can look from the tower and see planes making passes on the runway. So why up and complain? Up from another field. Your average vulcher's SA is cut in half while vulching. Come from another field and get revenge  :devil

Game play is up to the player.  ACM is physics and geometry.

But I don't teach complaining that your opponent isn't cooperating with your plan. :lol

You upped a plane that turns better and he wouldn't turn with you? Why didn't you up a P-51D? Too timid to fly without a turn advantage?

I think that this thought is brilliant. Maybe I like it because Its biased towards what I've thought a lot of times.

I'd consider "timid flying" when you engage a plane with similar performance and once you detect the minimum signal that the fight is not going well...you start running. Anyway, I respect "timid" fliers or another kind of style.

It's been said that "timid" fliers could ruined the game. I don't believe so. I think "timid" fliers could bias the game towards an area some don't like. But, 1 vs 1 as "the only deserved way of flying" would bias the game as well to another area where It could be called "ruined" by others.

Just my thoughts.

ACM is physics and geometry.

And a good deal more.
