As an Australian, I have a tendency to agree with Eagl's first post.

As we have no firearms permitted for defence of the home. The idea of blasting a criminal in the face with a shotgun is very very appealing. If I did that in my country I would be arrested and tried for both illegal ownership of a firearm, firearm violence, and murder.

But then again the police force in Australia is excellent.

well, the cops told the neighbor a guys name, but it was the wrong name.  My brother in laws ex wifes brother heard the dirtbike start at like 3 am when it was taken, he knows the kid that stole it, his name is ryan, the cop told the neighbor brian.  So the wife and I went online and googled his name, know where he lives and whatnot, but no pic.  They said, if he can push it he will steal it, lawn mowers, dirtbikes, 4wheelers.  he has to show up in court for a stolen riding lawn tractor :lol.  there were probably 20 different police reports we found online on this clown having to appear in court for theft.  Now what gets me is the cops obviously have caught him stealing stuff, why is he still walking the streets??   so yeah we know WHO it is, just don't know what he looks like.

All I can say...you need Sheriff Joe. But we won't let you have him, he does too good of a job here.

What I'm referring to is that the job of the Sheriff is utmost and foremost public safety. Under Sheriff Joe's tenure crime in Maricopa county under Sheriff's jurisdiction has dropped by something like 47% last time I read about it. Violent crime is down by high 30%'s.

Discussing the birth certificate investigation issue re: the POTUS would take this into a political realm. I'm not going there...

Nice pm.

Live in Maricopa county under Joe's tenure? I see...

You keep your Sheriff, we'll gladly keep ours.

All of your "known" facts about Joe are propaganda, watch certain local news here and your "facts" are their talking points.

Two sides to every story, you have obviously decided to see only one.

Bless us and he'll be around for a long time to come. Want to bet on it? The loser changes his name to What, When or Where and must fly a spit 8 exclusively, for every sortie for 3 months.

 :salute

Oh btw re: the crimes against children that Joe "didn't investigate," you do know that here our Sheriff only patrols (if you will) the rural areas, runs the jails, and deals with animal abuse, right?  The police departments that oversee each city/town in Maricopa county for the large part have jurisdiction over a matter(s) such as you're suggesting. And where one LEA doesn't investigate for any reason, the County Attorney has authority to investigate. Furthermore, if Terry Goddard (AG) really thought there was something he could bedevil Joe on, he would have.

edit:  I always thought that rural areas had a low crime rate to begin with. well except for mayberry, they did have a lot of crime for a small town.

Yes they arrive just in time to mop up the mess.

Good thing guns are banned so no one gets hurt....................

Police say three males forced their way into the Auburn home in September and threatened a 26-year-old man and 25-year-old woman inside, demanding money.

They allegedly attacked the man with an axe.

He spent two months in hospital and had to have a large chunk of his skull and forehead removed.

Police on Wednesday arrested a 17-year-old boy over the incident, following the arrest of an 18-year-old earlier this year.

I always wanted to fight an impossible battle against incredible odds.
