I have rechecked.  Various sources say similar information, however, at that time of the war, a lack of raw material(aluminium), factory bombing and field modifications combined with inaccurate records make it difficult at best.  Early K-4's were powered by the DB 605AS engines, however, my resources do not state how long they were used until the redesign was incorporated for the DB 605D engines(availablity?) and sources indicate that around 1,600 K-4's were delivered.

Some early K4's used the 605AS engine, but mostly the very very early ones. Once the DM became available, they were used alongside the AS engines, with fewer AS engines being used as time progressed, and the newer engines became available.

IIRC, the AS had pretty much disappeared from new K4's by mid October, at which point the DC engine began appearing in significant quantities, and was used alongside the 605DM engine.
You started this thread and it was obviously about your want and desire in spite of your use of 'we' and Google.

I'm getting a bit of a 'no' feeling just from the forum attached to his site.

Greetings,

It seems all I get is hostility for trying to provide references for planes.  This is the second forum today where someone has criticised my contribution towards giving players a reference of planes of WW2.  Perhaps when it comes time for renewal, I will just let it lapse as everyone seems to be just slagging off at people trying to help.

Merry christmas to you as well.

Well it does seem that all your trying to do is sell stuff. You DID avoid the question of whether or not you play the game. You bring it on your self it seems to me.

Someone posted a question about whether you actively play Aces High. What you post on
your own site forum appears to indicate that your opinion of AHII is poor, to say the least.
The Wikipedia information you provide on your website lacks credit to the source(s). For all
intent and purpose you appear to be here just to boost sales of your Zazzle merchandise
(before AHII folds, if your own site forum post reflects your true feelings).

As far as 'hostility' is concerned, you've been treated rather well, even if some here are curious
about your intention as well as your sincerity about the actual AH community. The martyr
attitude you're now adopting is more likely a case of misdirection, imo, whether you actually
have a player account and whether you decide to renew it or not,

Nevertheless, Merry Christmas to you, in turn, sir. Good luck with your website and your sales.

Greetings,
I will answer the question regarding my flying.  I used to play Microsofts Combat Flight Sim 1 around 15 years ago.  I used to make aircraft addons for the game, first with repaints, then adding a bunch of planes, I think they are still at Simviation.com under the DieStaffel name I used back then.  Since then, I have grown old and fat, wear glasses now and losing my teeth 1 by 1.  I hit 55 next month. :old:  While that is not an excuse, I realise that I dont have the reflexes and ability to fly like I used to in those games.  I also have a disabled partner so I gave up full time work to look after her and since then I have worked the odd job and part time work.  Now, I have found I get more enjoyment out of providing others with information about the planes they are flying.  While it is not an exhaustive reference site, I see no point in reinventing the wheel and copying and pasting everything on every plane found at Wikipedia.  I do source that site and the Internet as well as the hundreds of books I have on Combat Flight and use what I can to put into my website.  Yes, I also try to sell stuff thru another passion of mine, creating graphics of aircraft on tshirts, cups and other stuff on the variety of shops I have created.  Hopefully I will make enough to cover my costs of my website.

I do occasionally fly, but my main place to fly is War Thunder, because they have a very good system, still free to fly and the graphics and game physics are incredible.   :airplane:
What I enjoy now is putting up stuff on my website, but mainly at my eShops.  I dont make much from these shops(I am yet to actually get paid for my stuff), but it fills the day in and keeps my mind active.

I just wanted to explain why I do what I do.
