I don't mind changing sides every once in a while. Some decent gnats on, and besides gnats will fight. You wont find me on the rooks side, though...nope, not The Village People.
Just when you think the other two countries are full of scum and villainy, you change countries to find that your own side is also full of scum and villainy.
If you think you are having a 1v1 in the Main Arena, your SA has failed you.
I've found that fighting other players is a far better way of distinguishing those with good character.
over the years, what i have found is that if you never talk to someone except on the boards, you can hate them with a passion. the first time you have a phone conversation or happen to be on the same side as them, you find out they're not so bad. I've experienced this over and over. i won't list examples, but can tell you one person made my blood boil....until i talked to to him. when i did, everything changed. i would consider him a friend now, not that I've ever met him in person. don't limit yourself and don't base you opinions of people on these boards and on what people type.... you will be missing out on a lot of good people and potential friends by doing that. take the time to get to know people. you'll find that everyone that plays this game is all good people. granted some are quirky, and some will stir the pot just for fun, but in the end, its worth talking to them in person, not typing 200 or on the boards. switch sides often and you'll find the world is a better place and there are great people out there that you will never meet if you feel the need to stay in one place. my 2 cents!!
