I saw 1/2 the game.  good show for both but not really outstanding.  actually other than the goals, I thought the excitement was when the referee elbow a player walking by on accident.

the two flubbering idiots twellman and lalas..  christ jesus.. i cannot stand to hear those two flap their gums anymore.. it's like those two have a contest and actually count how many times their mouths yap up and down and they review the video after to see exactly who had the most time on the clock.. absurd..  (honestly they have great enthusiasm for the game.. but they don't belong there..) maybe bob costas or someone similiar to broadcast the national games..

Bob Costas would be horrible. As long as Gus Johnson stays the hell away and Ian Darke is on the commentating crew, I'll be happy

Ian Darke is ok, Gus Johnson I think would be better.. Sometimes watching Darke I don't know if its a foreign match or a U.S. nationally televised home-game..  Pretty sad that there is a foreigner coaching the team.. a foreigner calling the games.. and a bunch of dinks on the field actually trying to win the cup..

Gus commentating soccer is unbearable, he barely knows the sport and almost ruins games for me. I actually switch the channel to Univision rather than watch games on Fox while he is at the mic.

for once i see an advantage of me tearing the ligaments on my ankle at work.  even though I have to be at work on LD, thanks to dish I'll be able to watch the games on my phone  .


just wish the us, mexico or brazil wont let me down  .  but to be honest all three of them probably will  . 

well at least I have I can count on Japan and Korea to put on a good show even though there gonna lose.  now if brazil and the us had 1/2 the heart to play like that.

Lmao you're seriously right.. but at least Gus is homegrown stuff..  outsourcing too much is bad for the game.. look at nasl and what happened with that.. went the way of the dodo bird..

I actually liked Gus broadcasting the Champions League final.  Yeah he needs more work, but he'll get there.  The main thing he needs to work on is when to get into full Gus-mode, anticipating chances better.

The criticism that we don't have a "home-grown" coach is completely misguided IMO.  If the best person for the job isn't from our nation, I don't care.  The American way is to import the best talent from everywhere else.  Soccer should be no different.  Give me the best coach available and make him want to become American before its done.
