And here's the thing.. the U.S. should already know its role by now.. it's a mid-level team that is desperate for a superstar of some sort to bounce em up to the top..  So basically they're what I stated before.. a bunch of useless dinks..  If out of the 11 they bring  to the pitch now.. there is not one main character or driver of the team at this point.. there will me more of these types of problems.... Look at these champions.. give a sec i'll break it down for you.. A good result tonight well deserved. Had a lot of defending to do and held it well for a long period, and then responded quickly after the Ghana goal. Shame about the injuries picked up but that happens to a lot of teams.

Not very impressed with the US play in that 2-goal win, but then again, scoring so early and going into a shell, combined with losing two to injuries, will do that.  The deciding goal was a great feeling after giving up the equalizer, because in so many other games, teams give up two in a row in that situation.  The analyst on ESPN was saying "go for the tie, go for the tie!" but our imported head coach knew best.  He and the people who gave him the job should from here on out, be beyond reproach.

congrats USA, wanted to watch it but early shifts didn't allow it. 

Portugal will be without their lead centre back thanks to the red card and cointreao? (spelling) took a nasty injury so without their two best defenders USA have a chance of beating them aswell, if they can contain ronaldo somehow.

When the Germans weren't writhing around on the floor feigning injury they didn't look that great, so team USA drawn into a very tough group on paper have an excellent chance on getting through!
