You'll never win that legal battle.

True. That would be a colossal mistake.

I'm legal to conceal carry a firearm. Highly considering not drinking and knee capping him after he takes the first swing.
You just incriminated yourself.

I'm a little concerned how casually you talk about using deadly force against someone you said was a friend. Now I have to ask, are you now bangin' the girl, and is she worth it?

Maybe consider not drinking and then fighting him then maybe you could kick a drunks ass.  :x

If you are CHL then you know you can't escalate. You can't even knowingly meet him for a fight while carrying your weapon.

If he attacks you somewhere then you can do what you need to for protection.

As to this...

But all the texts I have gotten and even other family members have got, he's incriminated himself

You are not the law. Turn the info over to the law and let them determine what needs to be done. Just because he does something stupid does not mean you can too.

If he's sending threatening texts best course of action is to go to the local L/E and show them this, and make sure a file is started and you get the card of the officer you speak with.  Explain you're concerned for your safety, feel the threats are legitimate, that you have NO wish for violence, yet feel threatened and will defend yourself if necessary.

He was never a friend of mine. Just went to the same school as me.

Living in the corporate world, if I learned an applicant engaged in a fight their senior year of college, they would not get an interview. I'm not a prude, just not into people who engage in drama.

And at this point we need to reflect.  What is the ENTIRE story.  I got a sneaking suspicion jockich or Joaquin this lady walking away was not the only interaction.   :bolt:

Actually this was the first and only issue with the kid. His mom even confronted my mother at a restaurant about it!

Thats why I wanted to avoid it. I have a very clean record other than a window tint ticket and a speeding ticket. The other one on the other hand has multiple offenses.

I had a beer today so it's in the safe now.
