You didn't solve anything. If you want players to be able to get a trainer in game you have to have a trainer in game.

Imagine that.

Allow players to mark themselves available to conduct training

That should do the trick... .

The write ups are on the trainer site. Clinics are whenever a trainer wants to put one on.

Sorta like how trainers train now, when it's convenient for them.

We train people when it's mutually convenient so both the trainer and trainee are happy. Do you see the difference?

I gave you a hypothetical blank check and you still had people making appointments to train later when it's convenient for the trainer.   :rofl

If a player is asking for help within the game, it usually means that they need the help ASAP. Not when it's convenient for the trainer.

If a trainer can't be bothered to train another player, what is the purpose of the training corps other than a forum badge?

What I gave was the ability for a player to contact a trainer IN GAME for help. If that trainer is preoccupied, he has the option, on the spot, to set aside a training block in REAL TIME without the requestor having to exit the game, go to a website, create an account, post a request and then wait for a response.

There is a vast difference between the above mentioned and the standard method you all use now.

Warbirds trainers had = signs on their ID.   =dobs= or =save= for example.   All you had to do was PM them.

Man I dont know what to say,for years I would spend 3 or 4 hours during primetime in the TA to be available for training or just general help. I was lucky if I saw 4 or 5 guys come in there a month for help.

Seems some want to make a mountain out of a molehill.

  I'll leave it at that.

Times have changed, the hordes of people aren't around anymore for what ever reason. Modern gamers don't have the same "I can fix anything with a hammer" mentality that we had. An evaluation of processes (the ones we can affect) need to happen and methods need to be adjusted to compensate for it. The whole adage "It's the way it's we've always done it" doesn't cut it anymore.

Ya everything changes, still dont see what the issue is.

24 hours in a day 7 days in a week,so how many trainers do we need to fill all the time slots? I'm not doing the math just asking.

Unless there's some type of scripted video available to jump start a new player I just dont see a solution.

Since the trainer volunteer and are not paid for their time plz let me know how the supposed void can be filled?

Even setting up an appointment can be difficult for either player or trainer to find a time that works for both. That said if you think you know a solution then I'm all ears.

A scripted video isn't gonna cut it.  You need an interactive text-and-arrow overlay.

You explained that if a trainer happened to be playing online it would be nice to have an easy way to interrupt them. You didn't explain how to have enough trainers online to interrupt when somebody wanted one.

I like the idea of being able to mark yourself as available to train/answer questions. There are plenty of people who fly in the MA frequently who would be willing to help out, I'd imagine.

That's why there's a help channel you can tune to.

And a noob is going to know how to navigate the radio I suppose.
I'm supprised you're dragging your feet so much on this.  This wish is to help new players get help quickly.  Sorry you see it as a burden to yourself.
