I "borrowed" the Pitts Special sound folder in order to use its sounds with my converted FSX Gere Sport Biplane in MSFS. It works and sounds great. Just replaced my original sounds folder with the one from the Pitts. Easy Peazy. You should theoretically be able to do the same with your Carenado Cessna. Swap in a few of stock MSFS single engine prop sound folders to see what works for you, after first backing up the original Carenado Cessna sounds folder.  If nothing works just paste the Carenado sounds folder back where it belongs.

Bet it's not that simple.

M$ released a rather hefty patch last week, addressing numerous fixes, including a 25% reduction in time needed to get to the main screen. Since then I've had several cataclysmic experiences flying the A320 Neo...loss of avionics, hydraulics and engine flame-outs. Anyone else? I double checked realism/failure options; they were all off.

I have added the free liveries that were recently released, but I have not found a sound folder for any of the aircraft. Yet.

EDIT: Spoke too soon. It looks like they are using .PCK files, which are probably a special kind of file packed with all of the sounds and a file describing how they are used. Probably best to wait for a utility.

I am about to order parts for my new rig. MSFS bogs my old rig pretty badly.

I have an X99 system that I use for video storage, image editing that still has SLI 980's onboard. I slipped in an RTX 3080 and the improvement was not mind-boggling, but there was some improvement.

FS2020 will bring the most worthy PC's to their knees.  If you can get 45 FPS steady, you're doing pretty good.

Looks like a pretty darn good build.
I'm running an EVGA RTX 2070, with 32 GB RAM as well.  I went for the 4 x 32 too.
My PSU is a Corsair 750 watt.  Couldn't find a 1000 watt in my price range at the time.
Now I'm waiting for the 3080's to be restocked.  I kinda like the Asus model.

FS2020 will bring the most worthy PC's to their knees.

But most surprisingly, I got it to run on my 2GB GTX 950. Of course at low settings and 720p   :D

I wouldn't have posted that if it hadn't worked for me. In my case, I was dealing with two very similar types of airplanes. Now, if the plane on the receiving end of "borrowed" sounds needed all sorts of sounds over and above a simple biplane (an airliner for example), then it would have been problematic.  The Pitts and Gere Sport don't have retractable landing gear, spoilers, flaps, etc. Very simple. And that's why it worked for me with no problems. The only negative is that the Pitts has a much more powerful engine than the C-90 Continental engine in the Gere Sport, so it makes the Gere Sport sound like it has a 300hp Lycoming in it. The SDK mentions the specified third-party sound editor that must be used to create sound packages, so I could theoretically edit the borrowed Pitts sounds to tweak that a bit.  With MSFS we can no longer use "aliases" to make the plane use another plane's sounds without copying the sound files into the destination folder.  So it's either make your own according to the SDK, or borrow the "sound" folder from a plane that's similar.

Where can we find this SDK, or better yet the specified third-party editor?

EDIT: NVM, I found it. Hard to navigate through the DevMode ribbon.
