I'd like to see you prove that statement.

How is someone illegally crossing the border any different from someone breaking into your home? They break the laws of this nation. That means they are criminal upon arrival.

I couldn't care less if adults are separated from children as a consequence of breaking the law. Its far better treatment than if I caught them breaking into my home.

Guess it's too late to discuss that the USA was first made up of illegal immigrants huh? Want to address the atrocities perpetrated on the Natives that lived here? Oh ya, they didn't have guns and when they fought back, they were labeled as savages. So keep your guns clean there Cowboy.

I recall the Emma Lazarus statement on the Statue of Liberty "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore." Damn those platitudes.

Yes, its too late to do anything about actions that happened so long ago.
But if you think it is so important take your attempt at a history lesson and try to make use of it during the time period where the actions happened.

Straw man anyone. The problem with most leftists is they tend to lack a logical thought process and lead with emotion. You made the false assumption that I’m a Trump supporter, and that I hate illegal immigrants. Personally I think Trump is a bombastic fool, as for illegal immigration, although I don’t necessarily hate the immigrants themselves, it’s the act of which I detest. If you want to stop an act, you must make the risk of engaging upon on that act not worthy of any particular benefit there of. Obviously what little penalties involved now have little or no impact.

Actually, there's a lot of straw being woven into men in this thread.

For illegally crossing our border the maximum prison term is 6 months for the first offense with a misdemeanor. False equivalency.

+1

Come all, tired, poor, those looking for a better life and hope in the greatest nation on earth - but respect our laws and come through the legal channels.
They're casting their bait over there, see?

The false equivalency is your attempt at justifying a crime by way of its classification. The criminal knowingly broke the laws of this nation. While you try to use snide comments  to promote your opinions, you still have not been willing to call an illegal alien, a criminal.

I don't reckon it matters if you're democrat or republic, once you get to that level in politics you play by the rules or else you get that slow convertible car ride in Dallas...

But its alright. Republicans got the beat their chest while the democrats whined about electoral college, and rigged election, etc. And how less than 4 years later we see the exact same thing but turntables, the chickens have come home to roost, what ever the hell that means.

At least now the news cycle might have something to say other than orange man bad 24 hours a day.

Nothing snide about pointing out that crossing the border and breaking into your house are two very different things. Trying to equate the two is hyperbole.

Virtue signaling right there.

The British require reparations from Emperor Claudius for invading Britain in AD72
The Indians,Hungarians and Iranians require reparations from the Mongolians for atrocities they perpetrated.
The Egyptians require reparations from the Hittites who ravished thier country in 1000 BC

Read a book thing words in it made from paper.

All the above shows is you watch PBS and have been educated by individuals who have never had to work or live out of the Education system.

Your academics would be right wing in a flash if their evil state funded capitalist created salaries finished.

In the UK the Academics have lost billions because Chinese students have stopped coming to the uk to learn engineering and science.

Have a damn guess how many British people were educated by said Academics.....none...these academics took their 30 pieces of silver and bought property in the South of France.

Go and live in North Korea if you hate the US, if you talked like that in India, Africa or China they would put you cage anf throw poo at you.

There are no pies stored in this plane overnight

You should replace "crossing the border" with  "illegal immigation" so you guys can stay on topic and preserve clarity.

'Preserving clarity' isn't the goal of anyone claiming that breaking into someone's home is equivalent.

My first job married at 19 with a pregnat wife was for $3.26 an hour working 50 to 60 hrs a week to make ends meet without any assistance and it was much harder than picking produce

No illegal immigrants needed ..

No occupy wallstreet protest demanding more..

And did you consume lettuce or any other product from the fields that rely on migrant workers that cross the border?
