BACK to the original thread. I've been looking into hydrogen powered cars (Porsche is working on a combustion engine literally powered by hydrogen, but for the most part we're talking fuel cells)

Fuel cells are simply another method of providing electricity to power an electric car, DOESN'T involve lithium batteries, and thus far I can find no reason not to push THEM instead of lithium battery vehicles?

I don't personally care for them but if that's the way the world goes I'll adapt.  I only drive 80 miles a week on a bad week and don't particularly care about the method of conveyance.

Nothing will ever replace the thrill of pushing in the clutch, putting the stick shift in neutral, hitting the ignition, and hearing 6.2 litres of displacement roar to life. That can never be replaced.

They might be able to put a couple of 4-in speakers in the dash to simulate the roar of the engine.

I hear BMW and Porsche, among many others including Chevrolet, have been doing that for a while now. I had mine torn out with my stereo upgrade a few years ago.

What's the advantages of trying to stop criminals using an ev in their crimes?

Is there a back door way of killing its power?

A nice hack for the men in blue might save a thug boy or two who think resisting arrest is acceptable and cool

I'm sure you can do that with a Tesla, just about everything the car does can be accessed by the company

yes. Lawmakers in Washington are already working in bills that require built in kill switches so police and "authorities" can remotely shut of your vehicle.

The new infrastructure bill has provisions for a test program to track cars through gps and they are already working to require car manufacturers to have gps trackers and "black boxes" in cars.
