Salute JimmyD3.

With all due respect, you're not one of the people being harrassed by this individual. I am acting on behalf of the many members of this community that he continues to negatively impact with his activities.

Since I couldn't care less about my score, and can cohesively and accurately share my observations, along with my 20+ year history in having dealt with this person, I think I am uniquely qualified to provide my input, which I believe is welcomed by many. Of course, not by all, which I understand and offer apologies to.  :salute

Simon, no disrespect was intended on my part either. I just don't see anything positive coming out of the continuation of this thread. If, as many believe, he starts up his antics again, I believe Hitech will ban him again. Until then, we need to stay civil, while at the same time remaining on guard. I do believe people can and do change, time is the ultimate test.  :salute

Nothing positive can come out of not addressing unfair advantage and victimisation either. Where would you like it to be discussed if not in the game-related forum? There's nothing sacred about threads mate. Just talk.

Hunting specific players...*

"It is impossible as I state it, and therefore I must in some respect have stated it wrong". <- fictional logician.

There's only two conclusions:-

1 - HiTech is unwilling to enforce fair and equal game play. This* isn't covered in the EULA, have been unable to get a straight answer about it for over a decade of asking, including PMs and the evidence is cumulative. Perhaps he tolerates multiple accounts regardless of their use because of the extra revenue, perhaps he's observed that drama brings more revenue, perhaps he straight up doesn't give a plop what goes on in the arenas at all or how 'honest' player's gameplay must suffer, nor cares that people announce they're leaving over continuous incidents, or maybe there is an element of pay-to-win in AH we just aren't facing. He boss, we not.

2 - HiTech is unable to enforce bans and fair gameplay,  he cannot enforce bans even if he wanted to when people move to different IP addresses & change their MAC numbers and payment methods & cannot control what the game is being used for by some. Some games can do it, but it's got away from him. Cannot monitor external comms, does not track who is regularly dot wingmanning who and is technically unable to code any countermeasures nor do something as simple as placing a report banned player option on the clipboard. Said it before ACM is like a fingerprint, good players always know.

People that like this sort of activity will be loving this because they think it represents some kind of power. Power over the playerbase, power over anyone that's ever said anything critical about them, power over the owner of the game... Gangsta   :rock

I can see this happening easy since it is just a 1 man show now and all the rest of the help was let go due to decreasing revenue where they can no longer afford to be kept on the payroll

IMHO, this is most probably the main reason. Controlling game against misuse requires both physical control with Mark I Eyeball and softwares which, I presume, are neither cheap nor simple. Too much for just one man to handle. I'd be happy to offer helping hand, but my knowledge of game software, programming and coding is bit under nihil. If I was a master of those, I'd be flying unbeatable, invincible JU52, which shoots down and kills everything coming closer than D2.0...    :D

And whose are those enjoying the lack of control? Those:

Exactly that kind of players started the rundown of my previous flying platform, made me search for an alternative and drove me in here. I hope development does not repeat itself, even there has been some deja vu already    :(

I may be wrong but I get the feeling that this is the case based on a few observations and interactions. This is just my opinion on the situation since I have more time to type since at the moment I'm trying to decide which flight sim I'm going to be playing in the future. No need to attack me for my post as I'm just giving my opinion although I know some will feel the need to do so.

1: Personally,  I had a game that I gave a "plop" about,  I would log in from time to time and see how the game play was going and chat with the player base. I would address issues that players had about the game play and not just listen to a few people that I was buddies with. I wouldn't forget to reset the game at the end of the tours because I would be involved with the game on a day to day basis.

2: The reason I decided to take a break was because I'd had enough with the mods muting me for a comment about an ongoing discussion on 200 that others obviously had not been muted for because the discussion continued after I was muted. I would also get muted for things like: "non-game discussion" on 200. I suspect most people in the game could have been muted for that one at one point or another. To me one of the most interesting parts of the game is the 200 discussion while your climbing out in a plane with a crappy climb rate!
(the idea that things are cumulative and that Dale wasn't really concerned about the game came from somebody who said they contacted Dale directly and said that he couldn't find any record of me being muted in the logs)

3: After I deleted my account I noticed that there was a problem with my billing and I was a few months behind on my payment. When I called Dale to pay for the months that wouldn't have been paid due to my deleting the account, he didn't seem concerned that I was canceling my account and I got the feeling that he was bothered that I had called him to pay because he mentioned he was busy playing poker LOL. Guess it was bad timing.

4: Sometimes as a family we play online games like WoW as a family. This is easy to do because you can play up to lvl 20 for free. My kids expressed interest in playing AH3 online as they used to watch me play in the melee arena. The problem with this is there it would require me to pay for 4 accounts for us to all play together. This is not feasible due to the cost and the fact that it would only be a couple times a month that we would all would be able to all play together. I contacted Dale about paying for 2 accounts and the possibility of getting a couple free accounts for the kids play. This discussion ended without a resolution. (it's probably for the better because I'm sure somebody would have accused me of cheating or something seeing the way my kids fly) My son stick stirs like he's beating an egg!

IMHO, this is most probably the main reason.

However before we all jump to this most favourable conclusion (that's not how it works), Skuzzy only retired in early 2019, pretty sure HTC had its official office back then. If this particular ban predates that..., and I know (with evidence) of cases going back about 16-years.

Further we're all just conjectoring what this ban the OP addresses was about and concluding it's about the unwashed masses being mistreated. All we have been told is that Mr. S was not hacking (which I fully believe). Could simply be that he called HiTech a dinglebarry ubernoob with no more idea about flying than a gooney-bird and that he couldn't drive a greasy stick up a dog's arse, for all we know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

After a long conversation with skyyr  I have decided to let him back into the skys.

He was band 9 years ago and I have let him back in on a probationary basis.

He was never band for hacking but was band for other behaviors.

Please do not over react everyone  deserves a 2nd chance.

Dale

Feels like everyone is missing the real point of the post. All Dale wanted to do was get the BAND back together.  :rock

I think the minimal effort put into the original post tells you all you need to know.

Squad I did the most tours with were the Excaliburs then The 172nd Rabid Dogs. Still trying to talk Illigaf, Coola, Oldman22, and Joecrow into coming back instead of being boring old farts!

Well of course I didn’t know that and in no possible way was I poking fun. I know many people have known him for decades but we are still all customers.

He still has spellcheck. He can still take the time to put some more thought into it and review. He had to know the backlash it would create. He could clarify his sentiment given what has taken place in this thread.

Also on a side note, now I have to know who PalaceCobra is??? Earlier in this thread he claimed to “present” and witness for an in game interaction I had with Vraciu (A positive one!) but then several places in this thread he says he no longer plays the game.

Which is it???

I guess we need to figure out what pronoun to use for "it".  We want to be standup guys.  Oh, is "guys" ok to say, sugar-britches?
