I never understood how it could be considered a "sacrifice" if the pet you kill is not your own but someone else's. Maybe it's not about sacrifice but just about killing?

Right.  Because you're sacrificing a life. People used to think life was precious.  Not so much these days.

Honest, I've never seen a cat or a dog getting processed (well, I saw Dogs being marketed like cattle in Korea).  But I've seen Goats sacrificed to backyard BBQs in the town Don Tyson doubled the size of with "undocumented" folks.  That's not hearsay.  That place has been experiencing "the wave" of undocumented for 30yrs.

Maybe let the states decide what they want in this regard and not force the will of the federal government on everyone? No one who demanded everyone get a covid vaccination has any right to talk about anyone having control over their own body.

What a good idea...?  I dunno, lets find a Medium to summon Lincoln and ask him.

I always assumed a sacrifice should cost the person making the sacrifice. I spent a year in Korea and saw skinned dogs hanging in the market place too.

I ate from the street vendors there too. Probably ate some dog.

They can eat every feral cat they can catch...it's the crime say murder and rape we are paying millions if not billions to bring into this country that's a much larger concern

It borders on treason as far as I see it..

That alone warrants a change of dc clowns imo

There used to be a "Kennel" on the coast next to Kunsan AB, you could see it if you were up on "Little Coyote" hill.  We could hear what was going on (terrible).

Someone has to help me understand "state's rights". The constitution guarantees personal freedoms doesn't it? So help me understand how a woman's right to control her own body can be infringed by the state (or anyone else). Isn't anything that happens between an individual and their Doctor considered to be privileged?

Do you think that's the biggest issue in this election?

Serious question as they are certainly trying to make it seem so..

Basically any power not specifically granted to the federal government is reserved to the states. Now since abortion is not mentioned in the US constitution it becomes a state problem. The problem arises when women travel from a state that’s illegal to one where it’s legal. Once that activity crosses state lines it becomes a federal matter.

That’s why suffrage needs to be limited to people of a certain intelligence and whose name is on a deed to property. That will mitigate the single issue morons and those who can be swayed by some dancing monkey celebrity.

I'm sure you've argued this repeatedly as have I and since it is deemed by some as political on these premises I won't argue it with you further. I will again say though that anyone who advocated forcing people to get vaccinations is a yuge hypocrite if they take your position on abortion.

Guessing everyone has seen the news about the ABC whistleblower. Not that anyone capable of thinking didn't already know but proof could bring punishment for election interference.

Elon Musk I guarantee you is being extremely careful with re-posting currently given that he’s chosen sides. They already have him under investigation and want him in prison for “interference” except we’ve still got that 1A speed bump.

Thankfully.

That seems to be the current plan now. Any opposition is "interference" and must be silenced one way or another. Sounds pretty Putin-ish

So help me understand how a woman's right to control her own body can be infringed by the state (or anyone else). Isn't anything that happens between an individual and their Doctor considered to be privileged?

The issue is that some people are 100% sure (and will not have minds changed) that an unborn baby is a person, and the baby's right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is guaranteed by the Constitution.  Other people are 100% sure (and will not have their minds changed) that an unborn baby is not yet a person, and the mother has the right to abortion as part of her right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

You can't convince either side to adopt the other side's point of view on that.

If it's an issue that the Constitution doesn't cover (and the Constitution doesn't define abortion, or whether that counts as murder or not, or whether or not a foetus counts as a person in terms of "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness", etc.), then Constitutionally, it is a matter for States.  Not a matter for the Federal Government.  That's my opinion.  (But I am not an expert, just a person.)  That's the Supreme Court's opinion.  (But no matter what the Court decided, no matter what legal reasoning it used, a lot of people are going to be sure the Court got it wrong.)

When you have things determined by States, you at least have the right to move to another State.

When you have things determined by Federal Government, you have to move to another country (which is far more difficult).  And you don't have the right to do that -- other countries can deny you from doing that.

I think it's much better as a State issue.
