Lastnight a newbie asked on knight channel, "it says I am number 645 (or something like that) what does that mean?"
One of our more vocal yokels says, "it means there are 644 better than you".

Really? Horsesh@$. I think some need to re-evaluate. Score ain't dic*.

Ah, let me refine my answer...it shows you are 'balanced' as far as doing everything from flying, to driving a Vehicle, to bombing, to field captures...better?  Doubt it.  If drex is number 309, does that mean because I'm number 30 that I can beat Drex at anything?  HELL NO!

Apache you seemed to have left out the rest of the conversation.  Wasn't there a lot of joking going on after that?  Take it easy their bucko I guess you missed us talking about the glass half full or half empty.  And going on joking with the newbie, and him joking back.  Apache its ok 463 pilots have a better score then you.    

Why is it you cannot joke around anymore?  Why is it the first place they run is here?
Apache no offense but if this bugged you so much why didn't you message me?  Instead you ran here?  Some things are best handled privately, instead of the witch hunt BBS.  Might take some notes from this.  Also wasn't the ranking discussed to this newbie after the joking was done?  Did I not also offer information to him?  

One thing I do a lot is offer any tips I might know on country and open channel to help anyone.  I also ask questions and get smart assed answers back, yet do I run and cry in here?  5 weeks and counting I still don't know a lot of this game and that is why I ask others questions.  Yet I can expect smart remarks, and I find it actually enlightening when others do it.  It can set a tone for later encounters with individuals.  

Ask before judging you might find a different route was quicker

Sturm, sometimes a 'joke' in a text buffer can be misconstrued..best to put a "J/K" or a couple of 'smiley winks' after the message.

Rip, in the MA I think ;-) this can be construed as a J/K as well.  I honestly doon't think Apache needed to bring this here considering how many were joking about it which he thoughtfully left out.  HE also thoughtfully left out we did explain to the user about scoring.  But you would expect that in here I am finding out.
