US Army Reserves. 75 - 2000
Spent over 10 years in Armor (8th / 40th), rest in various positions from teaching to Division / Post / Army staff and a short tour to Panama right after the invasion. Was a better 24 years than I realized for a good portion of it. Hard to believe I actually miss a quite a bit of it.

ARMOR - The Combat Arm of Decision
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

I'm a young guy who wanted so bad to fly in the Air Force, but sadly my vision is slowing failing me, rendering a chance in the Armed Forces down to nothing.   But none the less, I gladly support our Armed Forces for the blood, sweat, and tears they have laid before us.

Not to often I say this, but I hold our Freedom dear in my heart.  Those who died before us have paid the highest price for our Freedom, and for that I pay the highest respect to them.  It is important that Americans, and any member of a free country, respect and pay tribute to those who have fallen, for they have paid the highest price.

So to those who have served in the Armed Forces, I salute you and thank you for my freedom, the soil you defended, and the place I call home, our land of the Brave, the Free, the Fallen, and the Respected, our land of America

For those who have served, Thank you for my Freedom.

For those who have fallen, You are not Forgotten.

Thank You.

I was once told that not everyone was called to be a warrior. But that all were called to serve. With sentiments like these I feel sure you have found your place. People like you are why those of us who can serve do.  Thank you............
