Hello gents,

I'm glad the community is now aware of this.
As my friend AKDejaVu so aptly put it, yes, 2 + 2 is an easy equation to figure out.

No, not FDSS. I've not had any dealings with him, at least not that I recall anyway. Nor was it hulka. He's gotten my message about my screw up in pressing the wrong key and my apology.

Kieran you have it right. I, at this time, do not know who sent it or had it sent but I could find out after some time and effort. Time & effort that I choose not to spend.

Thrawn, you too are correct. I don't know who it is, but I can find out if I so choose. I don't work for an ISP. I work for a government law enforcement agency. We have wonderful toys.  :D Be certain, however, this is not a fishing trip. I don't need to do that.

Thanks for the support guys. Although I knew there were outstanding folks here, this incident just pissed me off. I debated on making it public. Glad I did, I feel better.  :)

For the private messages. Thanks fellers.

I imagine you have toys I can't even imagine.   :D

As for the person who did/didn't mail bomb you.  You're right, fek him, isn't worth it.  It's a juvinile response to an adult situation, I imagine.  And it didn't do anything but make the law sit up and take a look.

There was what I was after, Thrawn. I was reading something into your original message I no longer think was there. My apologies.

Accepted.

I don't want to blow sunshine up anyone's prettythang, but everytime I post something that runs afoul of one of the true gentlemen on this board, it gives me pause and I reconsider what I've posted.  More often then not, I'm taught a lesson in humility and graciousness, and I'm thankful for that.

Has anyone considered the possibility there was a virus on a friend's computer? My friends on the Jane's USAF message board at SimHQ got a virus that sent a jillion emails out to randomly selected addresses from their address book.

Just want to make sure someone is not wrongly accused before all other alternatives are considered.

Did you get those toys from the Roswell spaceship? Is it true you can transform yourself into anti-matter with these toys? Did you ever see any alien body parts? I read a lot on this stuff so don't try to fool me with your responses!  ;)

In my case, I know you can have your e-mail snatched in a number of ways. Still, I was suspicious of the timing of my incident. I didn't say anything then because I felt I should see something a little more concrete. I followed Apache's thread (not even his to begin with) and noted the ominous tone of the last exchange. When the next events unfolded, I immediately thought of my little "problem". I no longer think the same individual is responsible, but I respect Apache's opinion, which I suspect is a bit better than the average joe's. It is, after all, his job.

...did someone just get banned for what happened to Apache?

hehe...I just noticed someones profile didn't work anymore.

Or was it one of your scary tools and you zapped him off cyberspace, Apache?  :D

FDSS-

I doubt that very much. If it was true, you could expect no word from HTC about it anyway, as they will typically never discuss such affairs with us (and they shouldn't if it doesn't pertain directly to us).
